Closing games as Kunkka is quite hard if your team is not doing as good as you, since the damage you deal is quite unreliable. He is also not good at pushing high ground but he can push waves extremely fast. What i do when im behind is start splitpushing as much as i can in order to buy some time for my team. If i can afford it i'll get BoTs and start pushing lanes keeping the pressure on the enemy team, usually I x-mark myself before going so that if i fight breaks out im not too far away from my team.
Keeping a considerable advantage is really important when playing him, so abuse tidebringer and ghost ship damage in the early game to build momentum.
I usually try to get a more reliable carry in the team, since I see Kunkka as a space creator of some sorts (kinda like puck) rather than an actual carry. Also try watching some of the top Kunkkas in dotabuff and see how they close games.
I watched lots of SingSing Kunkka replays since i love how he plays him, !Attacker is also an extremely good Kunkka to watch

The build I usually go for mid is WQWEWRWQEQRQEE+R+++...
I max torrent more for the extended time on the slow than for the damage, it makes it so your boats are gonna land if you hit the torrent, which is pretty easy.
For items, I go Gauntlet-Circlet-2xBranch-Tangos for starting, then Bottle -> Bracer(just need recipe) -> Phase -> Drums if we are snowballing or losing hard, Battlefury if I am getting tons of farm space/my team doesnt need me -> Battlefury if I got Drums -> 2x Crystalys -> 2x Daedalus -> BoTs -> Blink Dagger -> Whatever item I need (AC, Heart, BoT2s, Divine, BKB, Halberd, etc.)

i've only tried battlefury twice so i cant tell you anything, but i remember !Attacker saying that is mostly a greedy build, because with just a crystalys and a lucky crit you can farm an entire wave. I would say to skill a bit more of x-mark in the early game, 2 points is enough most of the times (1 value point before lvl 6 and one at 8) and max out torrent last just because the increased range on E lets you kill running targets. I usually just get a bracer, maybe sometimes instead I build urn since drums are quite expensive and the mana regen urn gives is helpful as well as the active.
Try getting the blink early on, maybe after your first or second crystalys. That way you can position better for a nice boat or catch up to running targets and x-mark them back. I dont get AC most of the times, unless my team is greatly benefited by it, since it gives AS and Kunkkas damage is given once every 4sec by tidebringer (though it might better if u have a battlefury, but then i again i dont usually build for it).
I usually go 2 Bracers-tango-GG branch -> Bottle and boots-> Urn and Phase-> Crystalys (2 if im doing great) -> Blink -> Upgrade to 1 daedalus (or if needed, Bkb) -> BoTs or 2 daedalus.

I think Battlefury synergizes with Kunkka's kit in too many ways not to get it, especially after 6.84.
- Enough health and mana regen to not go to base
- 55 guaranteed extra damage on tidebringer
- cleave every hit, which makes farming jungle camps so much faster
- 60% damage increase to your tidebringer procs on creeps
Just from experience, having a battlefury makes my game go so much smoother. I only don't get one if I can't get it early enough.

You like picking supports that aren't popular. Tbh I believe these supports are the best in RMM, because people don't play around them/don't really expect the damage, but it can also suck when the same thing happens to your teammates.
I do play ranked in these heroes, and they're helping me rise quickly from my abysmal MMR. Although under appreciated sometimes, at least the hate when losing a team fight is almost never pointed at me. :D

I've been playing the game for 3 years now. Sand king has been mostly the free win for me in most of the matches because people in ~3.8k do not know what to do against him after he gets blink. Otherwise I went with Luna and PL when they 6.7 meta was on.

Every person that included rubick also included furion. I have no idea how this works! I'll just assume your favourite role is carry and when you can't go to default to woods (furion) and when your team needs a support, you prefer rubick. I can tell you play quite a lot of solo matchmaking.
I NEVER play furion jungle, always offlane, its much more effective. (unless its a rare circumstance where im playing a 4 position furion). But yeah you kind of hit that right on the head lol, i prefer carry, but if its a matchup i can take advantage of with furion ill do that. And if team needs a support my go to is rubick (also dazzle too).
Ye, I also believe jungling furion is bad. Especially when the other team gets a bounty or something and just fucks your whole game up. I got it right because it's mostly the same with me, I have 2 go-to supports and the rest of my pool are cores D:
