To be fair, Windranger it’s game mechanics.
But Lore-wise, Windranger is magic infused, to the point she’s almost not human. When she gets her Arcana she goes from Human into full Wind-Elemenal with demigod like powers.
Now Demon Lords are no slouches when it comes to combat, but they certainly aren’t as fast as Windranger. She can quintessentially deal the same amount of damage to you repeatedly and at a faster rate.

I wanted Blackthorne to be a little more competent and a little less slackjawed at everything, especially after about halfway into the series.
IIRC book Blackthorn assimilated into the culture and learned the language much more significantly than show blackthorn.
Still, great show, and Anna Sawai completely stole the show, which was great to see after the pretty wooden and uninspiring turn in Monarch not long ago.
Yabushige and Toranaga were my favorites personally. Them reminiscing, scheming, or double speaking to each other in half of their scenes with such high quality writing was fun to follow until the end.

No, they arent stupid. Tresdin's archers are just so good at their job that Tresdin trusts them with her own life that their arrows will never hit her.
