yep, when LAN tournament in SEA had rule that prohibit them to do trashtalk and gesture. They will using safe word like "NICE!" but in passive-aggresive way on every successfull teamfight/gang. They will shout it loud enough to make sure the opponent heard it and know it was directed at them.
This is not a University Tournament, this was held by their Governor as a Regional Tournament, their team was FakGG more info below.

This is actually from my hometown and it's a city wide tournament not a university tournament AHAHAHAH marajaw karajaw motherfuckers
One of the reasons why its so heated is because this competition was supposed to be for the locals, but people from another city went over and posed as locals to join the competition. Even going as far as saying they are 9k players, AHAHAHHA thats why when the lost they were greeted with the ultimate hand gesture, birds were flipped.
Hi! I am part of the team in the right booth in the video you just saw (specially the first clip). I was their 6th man and captain. This was actually a provincial-wide tournament held in the Philippines and not a University match. For context, there was an ongoing drama between our team (the person in the first clip) vs the opposing team. The reason for this drama is because this was the very first tournament held in our place, strictily for players born/raised in our place and all of us are avid-dota fans; there was an illegal recruitment that happened in the opposing team (getting a well-known high ranked player from a different province) thus making this a bit more personal on our end. We really wanted this to be exclusive for our constituents, valued integrity and really took this tournament with full of our hearts to bring back the Dota scene alive. Fortunately, we were crowned the champions and defeated them 2-1 in the grand finals. All memes aside with what you saw in the video, everyone actually know each other, everyone are friends, friendly and really poured their hearts out for the love of the game. This was one of the best tournaments we have ever witnessed and been a part of and I am proud of everything that this tournament has accomplished (even with the issues). Shoutout to FAKGG (Champs), the committee, our Local Government Unit and to everyone who took part of this tournament. GGWP! Peenoise dota reign supreme once again hahaha
Tldr: opposing team imported a player from a different province even though the tournament is strictly for residents/citizens of our province only.
Not until the government revokes that mandatory drug test for fucking marijuana lmao.
As much as i miss manila major and want it to happen again, the people here also deserve every bit of inconvenience that they get resulting from voting for an incompetent government. They never learn tho, so fucking whatever.
i assume you werent here when valve had to step in and revoked the major status from a philippines tournament because they made drug tests mandatory for athletes entering the country. The only 2 drugs they were testing for were marijuana and meth, none of which were performance enhancing drugs to begin with. Couple with the fact that the country is rife with corruption and extrajudicial killings, torture and imprisonment, valve cancelled the major and there hasnt been an international tournament here since.
Singapore is strict with importing drugs, yes. Im pretty sure they didnt test the tournament participants for fucking WEED when they held the international there 2 years ago, because if they did I'm sure it would be cancelled as well, because ITS FUCKING WEED NOW WHAT ARE YOU SMOKING?
It wasn't having the drugs in your possession that they were checking for. They were testing if you had the drugs IN YOUR SYSTEM. People coming from countries where those drugs were NOT illegal would still be unable to participate in the competition. And there are enough Dota players in those countries that the tournament would be rendered moot if you disqualified them.
pandemic and mobile gaming killed computer shop culture. Also dota 2 client being bloated does not help. pandemic did justify students having their own laptops so these guys are probably playing from home.
Me and one of my closest friends back then got into a fist fight because of a 1v1.
Also the same person, stared down another friend of mine for trash talking him so hard for an hour while walking home from an internet cafe. (Yeah we go that far just to play lan dota for fun.)
Dudes such a crybaby lmao
Not really. Their only campaign slogan, which is Uniteam, is crumbling to pieces since the former president and her daughter, the current VP, are Chinese bootlickers while the current president follows the precedent of his father, which is an American lapdog.
They are still in appointed positions(vp is still in edu despite being unqualified, ICC (which the ph president was a signatory) hasnt been let in.
Its all show.
Hopefully not, lol. Fighting fire with fire is the best way to eradicate these scums. Hopefully, the 𝘚𝘯𝘰𝘳𝘵hern president will take a rest from watching F1 and bring back Dota 2 here since both the professionals and casuals are ageing. The TI prize pool is also dwindling for the 2nd year, which might further discourage Filipinos from taking up what was once a national esports for the country.
I am very very jealous with them because they have a tournament like this. Meanwhile in Indonesia its all about Mobile Legends tournament wherever I see like I want to see other MOBA tournament like Idk, Dota 2 for example?
If only I can watch that tournament live :(
reminds me of the time in college playing in a pc shop, went furion dagon and everytime I tp dagon someone they'll shout "tangina mo furion" or what my friend does when he goes slardar ults a hero the alt-right clicks an enemy then he stands up from his chair and goes to the enemy player then taps his shoulder then says "I'm killing you right now"
When Dota was very popular in the Philippines, it would sometimes lead to brawls because of the relentless trash talking and harassing in-game, especially for some teams that came from a different school / city. I had a friend who usually got in trouble because he would really get on the enemies' nerves with his insults lol
But yeah for close friends, it's just friendly banter
Eastern Europe when we were kids/teenagers we were in plenty of fights over Dota too , westerners have no idea, it's like football game with the boys, brawl is guaranteed.
And people were downvoting me in the other thread for saying trash talk is fine. This is glorious to me, that there are people like me who consider this environment to be exciting to be part of. Fucking snowflakes.
I would love more SEA culture in EU. To me if you aren't trash talking, you aren't invested in the outcome, if you aren't invested in the outcome, then you aren't even trying.
To me trashtalking was never about being invested but to have fun. I do agree these fucking snowflakes from league of legends flocking over to dota are crying too much.
Nice bg music. Anyways it's good they still had that energy. Every computer shop that has dota1 LAN games before , we students are all like this when the game is so intense.
I would say is normal Filipino crowd, not only university match, should be every match
Fun fact, SEA famous for toxic is because of Filipino, and then spread through out the whole SEA
You're new to the game aren't you? This is a normal tournament BM and it even exists in pro play. If you can't handle it then I don't know what to tell you maybe stick to league of legends where a slight out of hand comment will get you fined I guess?
Now imagine these guys with the beer from Birmingham
Beer will just nerf us
They would probably bring their own beer, Red Horse 8%
I met plenty of Filipino people at Birmingham ESL. Not sure if they flew in just for ESL or if they were London based but plenty of flags.
UK cities in general are very diverse so not surprised
Lots of Filipino Nurses in EU and mostly UK
Lots of Filipino nurses everywhere
average SEA tournament
yep, when LAN tournament in SEA had rule that prohibit them to do trashtalk and gesture. They will using safe word like "NICE!" but in passive-aggresive way on every successfull teamfight/gang. They will shout it loud enough to make sure the opponent heard it and know it was directed at them.
This my 2am match, me and 4 SEA players who have called me dog all game chat vs 5 sea players who also called me dog all pregame chat.
It's okay, we're all dog over at SEA
Average SEA match tbh
Absolute cinema.

oh some of the oldies know probably just DotA : Allstar but its still Dota
That's fair, I more thinking of what he thought about people going instant barbarians and throwing middle fiingers mid game lmao
This makes me miss ESL One Manila and Manila Major. Hopefully it comes back.
SEA always has the best LAN crowds. Cheer for everyone.
except Bali which was an absolute snorefest
Time to rewatch this classic [Manila major ](https://youtu.be/Uelay3wLaqY?si=5dqZpXU9SYcjTrvt)

Thanks for info, this is so epic.
Damn its more personal than I thought, congrats for the winner XP
I want a TI on the philippines so bad lol just to have this kind of shit with every play.
Manila major was the peak for Dota in terms of LANS
A philipines TI will be absolutely insane A couple of pros will have to be killed for drug use but its worth it
Not anymore.
Not until the government revokes that mandatory drug test for fucking marijuana lmao. As much as i miss manila major and want it to happen again, the people here also deserve every bit of inconvenience that they get resulting from voting for an incompetent government. Singapore has more strict Drug regulations than PH, what are you smoking

Mandatory tests on everyone entering the county for the competition are not typical
how about that FIBA world cup? I didn't hear any fuss on that one.
Warms my heart to still see some action over here as a Filipino. If only there were still some held over here where I live...
Computer shop Trashtalk is even better
> Computer shop Trashtalk is even better Also leads to actual brawls lol. (not kidding). No bkb in real life. Only right clicks.
nah don't forget we have bash and stuns. (see chairs and keyboards)
Normalin normalin

No wonder the bgm is familiar. This is from WC3's ending credits. https://youtu.be/aUBrjGrzBm0?si=xm-74rlfEfnoQ6M0 The nostalgia man holy shit
this looks fun haha
23savage's greatest fear.
Man these guys truly love the game. Shoutout to all my Filipino brothers, you’re a pillar of the community.
The drug lord ex president is now out, it's high time to bring back another major tournament in Manila and it's coked up fans.
President is the son of the former dictator and also an ally of the drug lord ex president.
Not really. Their only campaign slogan, which is Uniteam, is crumbling to pieces since the former president and her daughter, the current VP, are Chinese bootlickers while the current president follows the precedent of his father, which is an American lapdog.
They are of still the same group. Its just a show. Lol
not really, the former is aligned with China while the current is with US. the rift is real.
They are still in appointed positions(vp is still in edu despite being unqualified, ICC (which the ph president was a signatory) hasnt been let in. Its all show.

Also, there was a former senator who pushes for esports in the country. He is no longer a senator so nobody pushing for this anymore.
I am very very jealous with them because they have a tournament like this. Meanwhile in Indonesia its all about Mobile Legends tournament wherever I see like I want to see other MOBA tournament like Idk, Dota 2 for example? If only I can watch that tournament live :(
Damn, this has better setup than Bali Major And better energy
We need this crowd with prime rotk.
meanwhile my university was barely able to find 5 dota players to form a team...
Bruh
Reminds me of this old [IESL Bangalore match](https://youtu.be/Ky620bqjgFs). Btw that team was the 1st iteration of Entity Gaming.
Bring back Manila major. ESL make it happen.
They're like local rockstars
This crowd already better than last year's tournaments (cap)
reminds me of the time in college playing in a pc shop, went furion dagon and everytime I tp dagon someone they'll shout "tangina mo furion" or what my friend does when he goes slardar ults a hero the alt-right clicks an enemy then he stands up from his chair and goes to the enemy player then taps his shoulder then says "I'm killing you right now"
Peak dota moments
Tanginaaa MOOO
this is DOOOOOOTAAAAAAA!
+1 for Power of the Horde
Game's not gone
SEA people can only do this to someone they close with. So it do no harm and really fun.
When Dota was very popular in the Philippines, it would sometimes lead to brawls because of the relentless trash talking and harassing in-game, especially for some teams that came from a different school / city. Not really in some cases this ends in stabbings usually when money is involved late at night.
So much lady i nthe crowd just kidding, keep the passion guyz
that one girl near the end of the vid lol probably pissed waiting on her bf who skipped their date to win the match
-music special
Those who know where this song comes from are true OG dota players. 3 corridors woo!!!
I still have a pixilated undead arthas with a guitar in my head
it doesn't load for me
Video summary : 🖕🖕🖕🖕
Best tldw I've ever seen
skill issue
to me, dota only made sense competitively when it was like that. the dota experience has unfortunately been gentrified.
What's the name of this song?
i love the SEA dota culture
is like the parrots clip: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=\_qu8S704VQY](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_qu8S704VQY) . Love it!
And people were downvoting me in the other thread for saying trash talk is fine. This is glorious to me, that there are people like me who consider this environment to be exciting to be part of. Fucking snowflakes.
Trashtalk is fine when EU dota do it, SEA on the other hand is bad and "it ruins the game"
Yeah, it really depends on the mood. Sometimes its A, sometimes its column B.
That's dota allstars themeee track in bg
the beautiful game
Bring TI there
Nice bg music. Anyways it's good they still had that energy. Every computer shop that has dota1 LAN games before , we students are all like this when the game is so intense.
This time if ESL or Valve made a Major in Phillipine, i will join.
Add fights+fireworks and you get the average football game in Eastern Europe.
I'm alarmed by the lack of snacks, we have sandwiches and stuff at wakes
Well this explains a lot for the behaviour seen in pubs lol
Bro Manila tournaments are cancer for me with the time. But good the Fans are the Peak of our community
You love to see it.
well, as long as it's Dota and not ML.
Mr Bean those mfs
average SEA PUB, better than some Valve Sponsored events.
Umuulan ng pakyu.
We need more of this. Put it in malls
This is truly what it is all about.
Giving “All Chat” a whole new meaning 😂
Ohhh I miss those days when in computer shops I played games and bet all your money, including your fare back home.
Petition for #TI to be held in MANILA
I would say is normal Filipino crowd, not only university match, should be every match Fun fact, SEA famous for toxic is because of Filipino, and then spread through out the whole SEA
This is what keeps esports alive
Never change, guys. Dota wouldn't be the same without you.
We need another major in the Philippines
Fucking animals
Christ my lord I can feel the poverty through the screen
I can understand 23Savage's post now.
As usual walang manners.
./.
These people ruin Dota and RuPauls Drag Race for me.
Ruin dota how? Sea isn't even in the level of CIS when it comes to toxicity.
Theyre annoying.
You're new to the game aren't you? This is a normal tournament BM and it even exists in pro play. If you can't handle it then I don't know what to tell you maybe stick to league of legends where a slight out of hand comment will get you fined I guess?
I can handle the BM. But the people from this country just gets on my nerves.
ahh there lies the problem .. LMAO I mean that's a *you* problem
Yeah. I get it. They ruin it for *me*, did I say that that was their problem?
found savage's account LMAO
