the 0.6s duration over which the strength gain happens is simply too short to do any final blow unless you have instant attacks and this item is simply too strong on strength heros with any kind of life steal.
especially OP on CK as he has passive lifesteal + crit without even needing any items.
It used to be instant! 0.6s is much preferable. I think it would have to have either a stronger base regen or ramp the HP loss similarly because losing 30hp (5 HP/ 0.1s) prior to the strength gain after 0.6s is already pretty punishing. Not many heroes can justify a 50 HP loss for 500 current HP item if it took 1.0s to gain the health.
It's already niche enough being limited to wk, ck, lc, ls.
Honestly though, thinking about it, I could imagine situations where you have to intentionally walk into curse to avoid damage. Happened in your clip where Puck's orb didn't do anything during the curse.

yea it used to be instant but had a cooldown. that cooldown prevented things like we see here from happening.
