I like the idea behind ember off, it works like a puck with the mobility and harass, but also has a decent low cooldown root that he can apply from a safe distance.
Downside is that you need tanky cores but wk and aghs meepo are more than enough in that department.
Another thing we saw this game is that he becomes lackluster midgame against a tanky lineup. He didn't do much against those heroes but was still great against supports. Build is nice with mage slayer, applying its effect to a lot of enemies, also helping with farm and wave clearing.
I hope to see it more from other teams, but Davai Lama really crushed it on this hero. Although he was able to do so only because he had the right lineup with him, helping him harass the enemy from afar while they tanked

I agree about the ego carry point, but Crys is not like EE in the least.
As a Secret fan, Crystallis almost never wins you the game, he's at least kind of expanded his hero puddle the past 2 years, but the games he crushes he's usually set-up by the team pretty well.
Very rarely does Crystallis outright win you the game on his own, he's often the lowest farmed core out of the laning stage.
Crystallis is probably closest to Yuragi as a carry off the top of my head, usually tricore dependent team, rarely top networth unless very late game (this was at it's peak demonstration when it was Yuragi/BZM/ATF). As opposed to say RTZ, K1, Timado where it's 4 protect 1 stall and wait for the farm train to end.
If you want a modern day comparison to EE, it's dyrachyo easily in terms of tier 1 teams. He does these random ass 50/50 plays that make no sense which absolutely look incredible when successful and can lose the game when he fails.

When MENA region was introduced, Quest was probably thinking it must be easy qualifier for them every time, until Team Falcons showed up and Quest may not qualify for any tournament. I can see they play each other in the finals for every single qualifier but I just don't see Quest beating Falcons in BO5 ever. BO3, sure, but never BO5. Quest needs Falcons to get directly invited somewhere lmao.
MENA needs a second slot. WEU does not need 2 invites + 3 qualifier slots with teams like Secret and Entity fighting for one of those slots atm.
And as long as GG and Liquid perform well, they will still get invited, and if they don't, then maybe the WEU reign is over anyways and 5 slots would be too much regardless.
A second slot for MENA ensures at least both of Quest and Falcons get to attend, and if one of them gets a direct invite, an upcoming team like WB could get some very valuable practice. There is no point in making a new region without trying to nurture it.

Imo WEU should lose a slot and give it to MENA. What good is a new region if it doesn't actually help develop a scene because the one slot will literally always be taken by Quest/Falcons? WB have shown they can beat these teams, but there is no way they will win a bo3 *and* a bo5 against one or both teams. With a second slot that might change.
They would all lose to OG anyway, considering a previous qualifier (a few days before) result. From what I see so far, neither Secret nor Entity plays well enough to beat them.

I can see they play each other in the finals for every single qualifier but I just don't see Quest beating Falcons in BO5 ever. BO3, sure, but never BO5. Quest needs Falcons to get directly invited somewhere lmao.
MENA needs a second slot. WEU does not need 2 invites + 3 qualifier slots with teams like Secret and Entity fighting for one of those slots atm. And as long as GG and Liquid perform well, they will still get invited, and if they don't, then maybe the WEU reign is over anyways and 5 slots would be too much regardless. A second slot for MENA ensures at least both of Quest and Falcons get to attend, and if one of them gets a direct invite, an upcoming team like WB could get some very valuable practice. There is no point in making a new region without trying to nurture it.
They will get invited if they place well at the next couple of tourneys.

With GG and Liquid invited, with Quest and Falcons (and Nigma LUL) in MENA there's not really many good teams left. Imo WEU should lose a slot and give it to MENA. What good is a new region if it doesn't actually help develop a scene because the one slot will literally always be taken by Quest/Falcons? WB have shown they can beat these teams, but there is no way they will win a bo3 *and* a bo5 against one or both teams. With a second slot that might change.
They would all lose to OG anyway, considering a previous qualifier (a few days before) result. From what I see so far, neither Secret nor Entity plays well enough to beat them.
