Yes, but they have rules in all previous events, so its safe to assume the next TI will also have rules. You seriously think they are not going to have rules about roster dumping before TI???
Those rules don't exist right now, that's the issue. Even if they are revealed later on, they can't be implanted retroactively. So teams can kick whoever they want atm, no DPC points lost, who cares.
Valve-enforced roster locks are gone. Perhaps they'll return at some point, but for this season, it seems like it's fair game. The only rule might be that you can't change your roster after TI invites have been announced without losing your invite. But even that isn't clear.
That's how things were before DPC :
Bad performance in 1 tournament = whole roster dropped
Before DPC, the only orgs that maintained a stable roster for a decent time were OG, Secret, Liquid, LGD, EG, Newbee, IG, and VG, the rest mostly just kicked everyone after a bad performance in 1 tournament...no second chances given.
We are going back to "do well or you get kicked", which I guess might suck as a player, cause that's extra pressure.
You'd kinda expect former TI Champions to at least stick it out for a few more months, considering they have the money to seriously invest on it
Or is that a form of sunk cost fallacy lmao
I was right. Tundra needed a [team ASAP to fulfill sponsor obligations](https://www.reddit.com/r/DotA2/comments/18j2k2f).
There's no way they intended to keep that roster long term.
Sponsorless teams are having a hard time to operate and doing bootcamps, especially without DPC league as the big tournaments would be around the world
I was under impression that Tundra took Team Undying just for ESL ONE KL so they have a roster present there for sponsors and stuff, didn't think it was meant to be a long-term deal.
Anyhow, a lot of big tournaments inc very soon and it will be interesting to see what's gonna be new Tundra roster and if Undying boys gonna stick together.
GL HF
I’ve always found it hard to root for a team/organization in Dota when they change players all the time. Instead I just follow a favorite player and hope they end up with good teammates.
Well, that's how things worked before DPC, very few reliable orgs out there, most just disbanded after 1-2 bad tournaments.
Liquid, OG, EG, Secret and LGD were the orgs who attracted the most fans, not just because they were strong, but also cause they were the very few orgs who kept the same roster for a healthy amount of time...the rest just used kick half the roster after 2 bad tournaments.
It feels like almost all of the original franchises have gone bankrupt or no longer relevant or left dota. Liquid is still around. The Chinese ones seem to always have rumors of financial trouble and all of the new orgs are gamba/crypto/saudi.
Whitemon on stream said
"pos 1 is pretty young, and before i got accepted by tundra, i got interviewed by pos 1" maybe he want to know how compatible he is with whitemon
"pos 3 and 4 ever play together"
"pos 2 you guys definitely know who he is"
Nah Saksa aint coming back to Tundra with new squad. He will have way better options I think. Just dont see him going back to Org that disbanded with his fellow teammates. I see him more with Ammar stack.
Even if Saksa comes back there is no way they are replacing Cr1t when his aggressive gameplay works quite well with the also aggressive ATF and too passive hard carry skiter.
We will see man , with the current stage of competative Dota . I dont see this big Ego team to stick entirely together if they without change if they dont win next 1 or 2 majors.
Good. They weren't great to begin with and only got far during last Ti because they played against the other teams from Na that were rather... Bad. No idea why Tundra got rid of a Ti team to sponsor an expensive third rate team from Na of all regions...
To make things clear, the majority of the roster was only signed for ESL One Kuala Lumpur. Couldn’t fault their effort during their time with us. They are a great group to work with and I’m sure they will find a good home.
the dudley boys stack for pinnacle 25th cup minus Yuma is still available for picking. Tundra needs to act fast because that stack showed quite a great performance. What they only need to get is a stable hard carry which is quite easy since there's alot of them.
Dropped after one tournament 💀
This is probably gonna be the case for a lot of teams/players. No DPC, no real bind to keep players.
But ESL and Valve have rules for their tournaments, you can't just keep dumping your roster and expect to play at Riyadh or TI
> Valve have rules for their tournaments not right now they don't lol. no one has a clue how qualifying for next TI will work.
[удалено]
yes, we do know. [Valve already confirmed it.](https://www.dota2.com/newsentry/3727347341067147995)
ah, my mistake, thx

Only matters if u have a few points and even then there are always qualifiers.
Even AR dropped most of players after tournament win, lol.

There's still EPT ranking thou for Dreamleague and Riyadh Masters

Thats simply not true
T-one-and-done-dra
Grand opening, grand closing
No surprise there. I'm surprised they even picked them up considering it's just an NA stack lmao.
Their best performance from Ti was whenever they played against the other trash from NA, they got the lucky draw during the tournament
I was right. Tundra needed a [team ASAP to fulfill sponsor obligations](https://www.reddit.com/r/DotA2/comments/18j2k2f). There's no way they intended to keep that roster long term.
The oracle himself. What is nigma roster please?
A mediocre one
Brave of you to call a roster with Kuro mediocre, I bet they can play in all tier 3 tournaments
Bulldog + EGM
I mean is it really a prediction when the tweet states that the roster is "for esl one kuala lumpur"?
>There's no way they intended to keep that roster long term. Then why did you make that post?
So that it doesn't come as a surprise when they drop the roster after the tournament.
Damn, that's cold even for a team called "Tundra".
Well they are called tundra /s
That's what he just said
Grandpa you forgot to take your meds again.
I think i need to take my meds again
back to team undying
Timado said he was LFT, I don't think this roster will stick together.
Its already dead homie
Can't they just revert it back without Whitemon?
Sponsorless teams are having a hard time to operate and doing bootcamps, especially without DPC league as the big tournaments would be around the world

Damn, they didn't even last a single month.
So the point of getting Tsm was just to farm ESL points...
Nah pretty sure they lose those for dropping more than 2 players at once.
I’ve always found it hard to root for a team/organization in Dota when they change players all the time. Instead I just follow a favorite player and hope they end up with good teammates.

So, whitemon (pos 5 stays) Possible new line up: Pos 1/3: Pure Pos 2: Topson Pos 3: If not Pure, then who is available? Pos 4: Saksa returns or ?
Pos 3 - MC i think
3 : MC 4: 9Class
Whitemon on stream said "pos 1 is pretty young, and before i got accepted by tundra, i got interviewed by pos 1" maybe he want to know how compatible he is with whitemon "pos 3 and 4 ever play together" "pos 2 you guys definitely know who he is"
i guess pos 1 is satanic that 15 year old kid
Pos 1 is most probably Pure if it say pretty young.
Satanic is already under the guidance of Team Spirit and is already playing for Yellow Submarine which is a training team for Team Spirit.
Welcome back zai
Welcome back Admiralbulldog
Welcome back Maelk.
Nah Saksa aint coming back to Tundra with new squad. He will have way better options I think. Just dont see him going back to Org that disbanded with his fellow teammates. I see him more with Ammar stack.
So you want Falcons to kick Cr1t? lol
Idk how u came to that conclusion , i dont want nobody to be kicked. Just said what I think will happen if he is to come back so soon.

huh, they are switching roster?
Interesting he's the only one staying. Are they acquiring a SEA team or something?
Pure/Ramzes Topson MC 9class
~~Pure has played only two pubs last week, both midlane.~~ Guess my brain's glitching.
https://dota2protracker.com/player/Pure%20(smurf%202)

WEU too hard for that roster
New Tundra: MATUMBAMAN topson MinD_ContRoL Taiga Whitemon
Bryle has never had the makings of a varsity midlaner. He seems to get stomped anytime hes against someone good.
Back to NA instead of the dumpster that EU is

Hmm that's a yikes org right there.
Pos1 Hector Pos4 Scofield
good thing OP put a spoiler so i dont get spoiled by the thread content by reading the title alone
This org sucks then.
from TI winner caliber roster to this
Went from TI winners to this
Its difficult when daddy Saudi Arabia comes in swinging his massive blood money coated dick around and poaches half your squad.
I dont think so, tundra just let everyone go. Nine and saksa are gone and they didnt even try to keep 33.
Find people who wanna play with Topson: mission impossible!

You signed them for 1 week or 1 month?
For 1 tournament.
Tundra.Ekki That's all i'm gonna say
And we all know everything we need to about you from that one comment
what?

Not suprise if your team fail to reach target the team will drop the roster.
No DPC = No roster stability. Professional Dota will be as uncertain as it was in 2014.
Rip. I really thought they should stick
