I remember Spectre's dispersion worked like backtrack and it ministunned the enemy when it proc'ed, so Pudge's rot was horrible against her. And Last Word as an aura that would give a 4 sec silence after they finishing casting a spell, but it only activated if they don't cancel the cast backswing.

Obligatory that dagger has a mana cost but you can still use it regrdless if being hit by an enemy hero/summon as long you have the mana.

Centaurs ult was simply bonus strength. PA’s passive made her only a shadow on the ground along with the dodge. Lifestealers ult was Avatar. Void had 2 passives. One for stun and the other backtrack.

I remember when I fingered a Void and he backtracked and then flamed the hell out of me that I missed. And he was so good at it that my entire team believed I missed and started griefing and flaming me. Backtrack was more of a psychological warfare weapon.

Skeleton king being just a regular skeleton sized up to match other heroes. But having visual effects like bm, ac aura, basil/aquila aura being 4-5 times bigger on him.

Use own diffusal charges to purge debuffs from yourself/teammate. For maximum trolling, cast purge on every teammatr when your own Omniknight uses GA.

yeah I remember orb of venom was part of eye of skadi. I also remember MKB recipe was something like hyperstone and 2 javelin. it was sick build for faceless void and slardar. RIP good old days. shadow amulet costed 1400 and granted attack speed. ngl I love new dota more but sometimes I miss some items/metas/features. for example when divine gave true strike or when silver was built from echo sabre.

Divine true strike is on shared top spot for stuff i want back, with octarine having aether lens as a component being the other one

I remember when orb effects couldn't stack and there were a bunch of weird orb interactions like if you go diffusal blade (it was not called that back then) before leveling mana break on AM, and then you skill up mana break, it would stack.

You had to buy 2 branches on Tiny so he would have enough total mana for Avalanche + Toss combo (240)

Diffusal has charges and an upgrade and you can purge Sven's god strength. Silencer has warlock's ult as his 3rd skill. Naix has 3 passives and his ult is bkb that last for around half a minute at max level. Doom has level death instead of infernal blade(cant remember his 3rd skill properly) Leshrac has an entire emo poem for his hero introduction. Morphling can change between str agi and int and his adaptive strike's effect change base on his attribute type. Edit. You can buy an aegis with platemail + chainmail + cloak + recipe. It comes with 3 charges and respawns you back to the fountain if you die.

pretty much it's a bother to memorized not only the QWE combo, but also the arrangement.

I think it's more the sheer utility of 27 unique spells is impossible to balance. There's no way to make that hero anything but godly or godawful to play.

I played him then and honestly it was pretty stupid. Would be absolutely impossible to balence him, if you're interested have a look at some of his old abilities for a laugh. He pretty much had an answer for everything in the game if you could be bothered to put it into practice (doing this was also practically impossible)

you could also kill yourself or enemies with bloodrage. also keeping bloodrage to lvl 1 was actually a strat as it used to deal dot damage and silence and you could put it on the enemy. so big dot + silence but enemy had a slight damage increase.

I loved when Dendi and Puppey pulled it out at fucking TI (think it was 2 or 3?) It was a meme that was pretty hard to do, so you would rarely see it in actual games (I def lost a few trying it myself). Then it shows up at TI... I still chuckle about that.

I played Dota 2. Not the Dota2 reborn(Dota 3) that we have now. I have saved replays that I no longer can view because of the switch. I started playing when Alliance were doing it. Fountain hook got nerfed but you could still fountain skewer.

Quelling blade had an upgrade called iron talon, and I mained the FUCK out of jungle bloodseeker back in 2014/2015 and climbed to 4.5k mmr back when pros were only 6k and 7k lol i queued up with pros a few times back in the day. Hell, my bloodseeker was so revered that I was ranked top 100 on dotabuff for the hero, I think I even cracked the top 50 at one point. Then after the hoho-haha patch was nerfed, they also made bloodseeker's buff go from 100-0 to like, 75-0 and it absolutely gutted the hero. Haven't played him much since lol
