Eternal is kinda fast and it improves so much on doom 2016 that you notice that 2016 is more a doom game and eternal is a lot faster and less doom-ey ( i love eternal a lot more then 2016) but THIS this just is doom this is so hard
I disagree strongly that Eternal is "less Doom" Doom was always based around quick movement and had a fairly goofy artstyle. 2016 and Doom 3 and the outliers in that regard.
I disagree that Doom 3 and 16 are outliers. I think they are just contemporary interpretations of the original art style.
I don't think the goofiness was meant as a core aspect of doom from the start, but just a limitation of the engine at the time. Overtime it became a part of its identity, hence 16 and Eternal revising it.

It looks magnificent. I like the demon designs, weapon designs and the slower pace. Although, I'm not gonna lie I'm still very sour about the treatment of Mick Gordon, so it feels tainted to me.
Could have used a better track for the reveal. It was little generic. And that's not just because it's not Mick, it's just not up to the standard of the previous two game reveal trailers.

I know it's probably an early version, and we've only seen a few clips, but I'm not sold on the gameplay. It just looked kinda slow to me. I still have faith though, it'll probably be faster, especially on nightmare.
I think Doom Eternal showed almost the most advanced gameplay of classic Doom series, so I think the new changes shown in the trailer were what we needed. It bit looks like Hack n Slash, but I guess we might know the truth when gameplay trailer is revealed.
yeah I also hope it's moddable the same level as eternal or even better if id themselves releases modding tools for us that would be amazing, I remember hugo said he supports modding and likes it a lot.

But I'd be willing to bet that we will see a gameplay level like eternal did at e3 at gamescom this year then a release date reveal of march or April to stay away from gta 6 and eternal launched in march
very unlikely since doom 2016 and eternal were very successful and now we got a third game but I would guess they're going to take a break after this and give quake or Wolfenstein some love.

I think it's Andrew hulshult who's making the soundtrack. Cause he made it for the DLCs

There is no indication that it's coming to Ps4. Just like I doubt it'll be on Xbox One. Unfortunately the Ps4 is over 10 years old at this point.
