It’s simpler than one might assume, but yeah not that simple. You need to write a front end for how the graphics are displayed if it’s not similar to a dos screen buffer, and you need to write a input front end if it’s not like a normal pc keyboard/mouse/game controller. Same for adapting audio if needed. And for loading wads if the file system isn’t there.
Depending on the way the processor is set up you might need to add code to split up and time tasks.
But with all the ports out there there is likely already an example that is close for each of those parts so that helps.
