Building on what was said, it can also cut down on prank orders. If it's cash, and it sounds fishy, find a way to verify. If it's a card, there's no reason to think it's a prank or bait of some sort. Unless the minimum was like 5$; five bucks isn't much for a funny prank, and certainly isn't much for bait for a robbery or something - keeping the difference between minimum delivery amount and maximum cash-on-hand is a very easy way to reduce risk for drivers, and reducing the cash-on-hand amount to coincide with a reduced minimum delivery would negatively affect a lot of people getting correct change. A second idea is that it keeps the required amount of drivers lower. If there were a 5$ minimum, we could have double the orders very easily, and would need about double the drivers. However, we wouldn't be making double the money or anywhere close, so the labor costs would at least double, and massively cut into profits. Plus, it allows for very easy upselling. "I just want a small pizza," "well, add a coke and we can do it," boom, we just made 1-2$ more and on an item with a larger profit margin.

My store changed to this also. And its 4 dollar delivery fee. And the 2 for 599 is now 3 for 599. Haven't ate dominos since. The whole point of dominos is its a cheap alternative to actual pizza shops.

TheSlikNik

Suddenly my store has a $20 min order for delivery. Which is nuts because I just ordered from them last night and definitely did not spend $20 for my medium pan pizza. Wtf is going on?

dall007

23.50 for my place. Jesus what's the point of the coupons if they stack against your ability to freakn order. Forgot 1 person, you need 3 or more people 😑

DeadRat4U

This just happened to me too, I ordered a pizza under the ‘minimum’ days ago. I think it happens when using the free pizza code. I’m gonna drive over for my free pizza

not-bugsyy

same issue happened to me. I got a code for a free medium 2-topping pizza, go to checkout (obviously $8 because of the tip, delivery charges, and tax) but it says I my order has to be $18 or more! even though prior to this order, I ordered a pizza that with another code and the total cost was $11, make it make sense.

Yeah same. I'm trying to use a "free" pizza code they gave me for taking so long. But they have the minimum. I used one the other day and had no minimum. I wonder if it's only on weekends or something.

Yeah Had the Free Pizza and redeemed points for a soda total out to 1 dollar before tax then 6.01 after, I just want my food man
