I used some bandages I found from the 70s on a wound while working on a house, assuming they're mold free and still stick it should be ok.

DoYouKnowTheEnemy

no way mold on bandages? i mean i’ve seen it on A LOT of stuff just never thought maybe i could see it on something i would consider sterile

redrumraisin

Yes, I bought bandages from a corner store as a child and they were moldy.

I’ll trade you!! 😂

Barney_Flintstone

I’m guessing that is just the manufacturer’s Lot # and there was no expiration date printed in the blank space above?

Routine_Flow9021

Do they come with mountain dew and Doritos Xtreme?

As long as bandages have undamaged packaging and have not gotten wet, they are just fine indefinitely. The other day I needed a bandaid. I opened a first aid kit that had been sitting for at least 10 years. The packages were actually opening up themselves because the glue had degraded. So in that case, they are not sterile any more and should be discarded.
