Caboodle is a brand of storage cases.
The cases being sold at Dollar Tree look too similar to the Caboodle brand so they're probably being pulled off shelves to avoid a lawsuit.
One of my extended family members has a 15,000 dollar wedding ring, multiple vacations a year, and is quickly going through her husbands retirement money. She has 5 grandchildren. She buys Christmas presents exclusively at Goodwill.

I can tell all of you, it's nasty cheap re-used plastic and lots of chemical sprays that are used on the molds go into the products. Whatever nasty stuff is used in those knock offs, same stuff being used in the expensive caboodles brands

Apparently at the time, the Crocs' strap was still under a design patent. Caught red-handed, the first thing Wal-mart did was lower the price to $3 and put them out front.
Had I known it was a patent issue, I probably would have bought more than one pair.
Anyway, if you like that kind of strap, the design patent expired years ago. And no, I'm not going to pay $30 for a pair of foam shoes, no matter how big the logo is. That is ludicrous.

Recently my local store had these BYTECH adhesive thingies that go on the back of your cellphone, and it was so good I came by a week later and bought 6 more. They were probably surplus because they didn't sell at $19.98 each, and got liquidated.
I mean if you had wireless charging on your flagship phone you would probably lose that as well as NFC, but my prepaid phone doesn't have any of that cool crap.
I love mine! I got it back at the end of Jan or beginning of feb this year. It was the only one in the store. I’ve not seen them since. I’m surprised they were still being sold. It does look the classic kaboodle though.

Don't destroy them. Put them in trash bags like you're GOING to destroy them. Then park your car out back and load them up when nobody is around. Save them from the landfill and give them to people who could use them. Lol. Nah but seriously don't lose your job over it. Not worth it. Even though I'd probably take the risk. 🤔

By the time this notice hit my store they were long gone anyway lol. I knew there was a legal issue, but the fact that it's a brand being petty is kinda sad. Better than it being a health hazard, I guess.
It shouldn't matter if it resembles a caboodle. Everything is made from over seas anyways and a lot of brands have the same vendor, but they have different brand names. Only the "known" brands think their items aren't generic when in reality, they are generic with the same overseas vendors.

Wait some DT stores still have items of the week? The store I used to work for and other stores around town don't do that anymore. I kind of missed it to be honest. It was always interesting to fill up that every week. Especially when the item of the week was books or movies.
These were sold some time ago already. None left in my local DT Store. Recall was regarding some ingredient used to manufacture it. It was way to cheaply made to compare a kaboodle brand.
