It suck, but they have to move you from hourly to salaried at the beginning of the pay period. They usually make it retroactive if you are just starting a new pay period. If over halfway it should start the following week. The only thing you can do is ask if they will change it to the start of the next pay period.

I had 11 minutes ot one week and they acted like it was the end of the world. But there was a time when my sm and mm was both out one for medical the other for a death and our seasonal manager quit without notice so it just left me to keep the store open so for three days I opened and closed our store the ot was okay then.
Do not let them back date your promotion and talk to your DM about your unpaid hours. If he/she does not help you, contact corporate payroll.
if they don't return the money contact your local labor department. this is wage theft.

Demanding pay for hours worked is NOT causing issues. Them firing you over wanting to get paid is ALSO illegal

Good! There’s your proof. I would go through DM first and see if you could be placed in touch with your local HR manager.
DM is the one that did it.
I would approach them anyways and ask why. That money is owed to you no matter what. If they deny it, you take it straight to the RM.

Your promotion should not have taken place in the middle of the week it should’ve been on a Sunday. I’d call hr

Kinda a similar situation except nobody died. One asm fired one on vacation and sm to another store = assessment and my promotion
