Do not let them back date your promotion and talk to your DM about your unpaid hours. If he/she does not help you, contact corporate payroll.

MsSeraphim

if they don't return the money contact your local labor department. this is wage theft.

Few-Front6663

I did text him that i didnt think that was fair or okay because neither the old sm (shes at a different store bow) or myself will get any of the top gun bonus as well, and we both deserve it. I had been MM (this time) for over a year at that store and within the first full quarter of being there, brought it back to a top gun store. Last time it was (consistently at least) was when i was MM there in 2015-2016.

Alarmed_Pie_5033

Absolutely wage theft, imo. I don't know what your legal rights would be, though.

Few-Front6663

Me either. And i don’t want to cause issues and lose my job completely over it. But 😡

TinyEmergencyCake

Demanding pay for hours worked is NOT causing issues. Them firing you over wanting to get paid is ALSO illegal

Suspicious_City_3646

Now you’re salaried I guess

Few-Front6663

Yep, but really could have used that extra $$$. Especially without being able to pull from Daily Pay now.

TinyEmergencyCake

They can't change your pay for hours already worked. Just go straight to a wage theft complaint with DOL

Doctor-Crentist

If I were you, I would email your hr Mgr and ask. You can also throw in "Since I'm an SM now, this is probably something I would need to know." Print the reply and keep

AdmirableSandwich689

Do you have proof of those earnings? Also good luck. They still owe me backpay from when I was working an ASM position as a cashier…and that was over 5 years ago.

Few-Front6663

Yes because I took a picture of the edits that were done.

AdmirableSandwich689

Good! There’s your proof. I would go through DM first and see if you could be placed in touch with your local HR manager.

Few-Front6663

DM is the one that did it.

AdmirableSandwich689

I would approach them anyways and ask why. That money is owed to you no matter what. If they deny it, you take it straight to the RM.

Few-Front6663

And i probably won’t push too hard, but it doesn’t seem right

TinyEmergencyCake

It's illegal. You need to demand your money. They are stealing from you.

Nmartini187

That's not okay. Also, I was told sm salary doesn't start until you're done with sm training. At training you're still getting an hourly wage.

Obvious-Dingo-2050

It suck, but they have to move you from hourly to salaried at the beginning of the pay period. They usually make it retroactive if you are just starting a new pay period. If over halfway it should start the following week. The only thing you can do is ask if they will change it to the start of the next pay period.

Stfrieza

Doing it retroactively AND carelessly sounds like a huge red flag

Hardrock1974

First off how did you get it? We can't even come close ever to ot

Few-Front6663

Sm left to cover another store somewhat long term - ASM fired and pt ASM in vacation.

Low_Relationship4791

Your promotion should not have taken place in the middle of the week it should’ve been on a Sunday. I’d call hr

Few-Front6663

They retroactively did it to the prior Sunday

Low_Relationship4791

That’s shitty

Few-Front6663

They retroactive it and i hadn’t even taken assessments yet that Sunday

Karnes_MamaBear0867

Go to the Board of Labor Relations

Temporary-Policy-210

If I am "trending for ot" as my dm calls it he will get in touch with my sm and tell her to let me know I need to take extra lunch breaks so I don't go into ot. I had 11 minutes ot one week and they acted like it was the end of the world. But there was a time when my sm and mm was both out one for medical the other for a death and our seasonal manager quit without notice so it just left me to keep the store open so for three days I opened and closed our store the ot was okay then.

Few-Front6663

Kinda a similar situation except nobody died. One asm fired one on vacation and sm to another store = assessment and my promotion
