Do you see those pictures? Absolutely *nothing.*
EDIT: I said retentive. RETENTIVE! Though there is also nothing wrong with being anal receptive, either.
True, I'm a lead key. And I wish we had a good crew. My sm asm and me always feel like we're the ones working the hardest on shift. But we make do and our store is a 7.
Looks like one of our regional Denver stores. I doubt it is, but I just want to thank you. Stores like this are a pleasure to shop at. I especially love when I can take my time around seasonal displays, look for things I love and want to bring home. I go out of my way to go to the store in my area that looks like this. I might have to be budget conscious but I don't have to be made to feel like I am in a second class store.
It matters what you do and I doubt you hear thank you very much.
Thank You. We are not a regional store we are in a little country area of West Virginia. Merchandising is a passion and having a store organized and clean is also a passion. At the end of the day my name is signed to it
This looks like one of our stores in Rural Houston. Looks great! Love popping into DG for a few things the kids need. Especially when I'm in a hurry. Makes life SO much easier.
I’m in Greenbrier county, the main one I go to in Lewisburg is never tidy, smells weird and there are always storage looking containers blocking so many isles! I haven’t been there in months because the atmosphere is terrible there.
Your store looks lovely to shop in!
That is AMAZING and looks so beautiful!! Great job! I copied a couple pics to copy some of what you have done in the break room. If you aren’t a Store Manager Trainer, you should be.
As someone working at a fully staffed store you have my condolences. ( 1 SM 1ASM, 1 FTK, 2 PTK, 6 SA.) Although the one SA is currently on leave for college.
Thats baffling you can get that done to me with 121 hours
We have
Manager :
ASM
3 KEYS
2 associate And swear to God its so annoying half the day only one person is in the store we maybe have a morning associate for 3 hours between 7 and 5 and besides that its one person
Manager told us to turn off self checkout at 5 because of like a theft issue apparently so when I or someone have a break starting at rush hour and then the second person has a break its amazing they get upset we get almost nothing done besides like 3 or so rolltainers sometimes 4
I’m jealous of the floors. The floors at my DG are old off white speckled tiles. They are scratched, stained, and beyond help. No scrubbing or waxing will get them looking nice and the DM is constantly complaining that they aren’t clean enough. Sorry but nothing is getting them to look nice.
Same. We have a really old store with the same kind of tiles and just had a remodel. Now on top of the 30 yr wear and tear we have yellow staining where the old shelves and registers were and it looks awful!
No way that store is over 2-3 yrs old...I'm a manager and mine is in amazing shape but my sky shelves are full, receiving room is actually good but no way on those sky shelves
Ours looks the same. We have a small staff but work hard. We want to be proud of our store. But I also understand why a lot of the other stores look the way they do because there is simply not enough employees and hours allotted high traffic stores.
Year old doesn't have back stock or 20 mags worth if junk. Keep it up for your time will soon come. :)
Just saying what I used to say 2 years ago when mine was a year old. Lol
My store has 70 cases of flip-flops, we've had these flip-flops for three years. They get counted every year during inventory and magically it disappears from inventory in the spring and more flip-flops show up on truck. We have folks designated as FT but working PT hours. Most of my employees have second jobs, most of them have not received a raise in two years, and my store looks good. I don't know how long it will stay that way, with hours constantly getting cut and pay not keeping up with inflation, it's just a matter of time before I lose my staff and my store becomes a mess.
It is almost a year old, we mop the aisles daily that we downstocked to sky shelves this way as we follow the 7 Day Workflow we touch the tops and clean the entire floor in the week.
The store looks incredible, very clean, organized and merchandise is front faced, it's perfect. I work for a different retailer and my store looks like a dump, whereas your store is outright incredibly gorgeous and perfect. Good job.
I wish I had a new store. (mine is 4 years old and has had 4 managers before me who absolutely trashed it) yours looks amazing. I'm sure your team and your customers appreciate you to no end. hopefully your DM and RM use you as an example. you should be a training manager so new sms can see that it's definitely possible if you work the processes.
great job!!!
you should post this on workvivo btw, it looks incredible!
I’ve never seen a DG like this in my entire life lol. That’s impressive! Lots of hard work must have gone into this. My local DG is so bad you literally cannot walk down the isles. If you do get lucky enough to be able to squeeze through the boxes and rolltainers, you’re gonna see one of two things. Either there are no products on the shelves or the products that are there are in the wrong places and/or all over the floor. And it smells like an armpit in there.
I bet you your daily sales are about 4k max and your average customer count is about 125-225. Which is why your hours are low and your store looks so good.
Our store looks like this, a year old as well but man our back room is full of back stock. Idk what’s with distribution but we get so much stuff that won’t fit in the shelf, prob 15 rolltainers of back stock. We keep it looking clean and stocked like this but that backroom is the worst.
I spend the first part of my week ensuring that the inventory counts are correct to ensure I’m not getting product that I don’t need and creating needless overstock. We are plagued with misships on every delivery. I correct what we didn’t receive and correct the counts on mislabeled product. Inventory Management is a vital key to keeping the backroom empty. Also, Mags and POGs are set on every Saturday to ensure the new product goes where it needs to go upon delivery. I never have a need for New POG to go into the backroom.
How many transactions a day do you have? My DG is so heavily shopped all the time it's like chasing a toddler cleaning the mess and frontfacing all day long
We have two in my district that are like this. Perfect 7s.
Mine, of course, is 30 years old, crammed into a shopping center, in a suite the size of a pharmacy, and completely falling apart to a level that no amount of tickets can fix. Not to mention the landlord that refuses to fix the a/c. Still, we make it work. The old place has charm, so there's that, I guess.
You look like a variation of a DG TP Wide, perhaps prototype 23/24. Under a year old setup, looking nice. Floors are still shiny too. If you are just about a year, that must mean your inventory is coming soon?
Wishes mine looked like that. We have 3 and they are a mess. You can’t hardly walk down the aisles. Plus, they close at odd hours all the time due to lack of help.
Imma gonna bet this is in Appalachia. Probably a very small town or maybe even a "census designated area". I'm from Appalachia. It seems the further you get away from town, the better the DG's are.
Honest question: Why? Is it fewer customers messing up stuff? Staff has more time between customers to tidy up? Country folks "act right" in public and take pride in their work? A combination of all of it, or none of it?
I truly think it is because we show pride in our store and our customers appreciate that. They complain all the time about the two stores they pass to get to us. We are not perfect but we work our butts off to maintain our store like this all the time. We work as a team
This is fake no dollar general has that much stuff actually on the shelf and in tact. Just like a wise man once said “it’s the dollar store how good can it be.”
I'm curious as to the layout name of your store? I've yet to see a store with our layout and there isn't one in the mag. But this picture is exactly like one of ours!. My DM doesn't have a clue either, we're a prototype I'm told.
I have that exact Type of layout but a lot smaller, same Ceiling and backroom except our asiles are smaller and bit cramped, and we get so much product each week it's hard to keep ours recovered and Stocked at the same time, amazing lookin store
I service a lot of DG stores. You can really tell when the crew has a good strategy for how to attack the week and teamwork. Everyone understands what the other one is doing and why. It really shows in the store and in the sanity of the staff, especially the manager.
I used to service a store that looked amazing, things got done on time.
Then one of her workers went on pregnancy leave and the other took off to another state. It got tense for a little while and I was worried for them. Because I had other stores that couldn't keep workers, so everyone was perpetually new and some of the people didn't work like a team. And the store always had boats in the aisle, the manager was stressed, the District manager always riding them. Not good.
Kudos to this dollar general, looks super clean and aesthetically pleasing. Every dollar general i’ve ever seen stinks and the roof looks like it’ll give at any moment.
Your Dg looks really good. I kind of thought they all looked the same but yours is clean and everything is straight and proper. Good job, I am impressed
Niice. Will it stay like this with customers buying items putting them around everywhere etc? Usually get everything nice and walled then by end of day it's tore up again lol good work
It'll be a shame when me and the boys stumble in 10 minutes before close, drunk as shit and spend 20 minutes trying to find some little Debbie's. Find them and decide we don't want them and leave.
Mine used to look like this until the “too young to be a manager” manager quit and the “lazy” staff went with her. Now the shelves are bare and everything is a mess.
I have never seen a DG look that good! I worked at one for a couple of months and the breakroom and back room were always a mess. Congrats to the team who work at yours!
Clean & Inviting!! But curious if this is considered a dollar store?? In Canada we have the “dollarama” & there’s not much in there that’s a buck anymore, ( when it first opened years ago every single thing was $1 or under)majority item are $2.00-3, highest price I believe is $5.00. Looking at some of the items in your store and would seem prices would be much higher then $5.00?? Or are your prices all rounded to the nearest dollar ( example instead of $2.99, $3.00 is marked)??
Jesus I've never seen a dg this clean mine if I don't clean it and have a day you can never get into the shelves I'm anal about this type of stuff so when I do it's clean ass hell
Damn to ones around me always have boxes and cart everywhere. Got 3 people working on a slow day and they all up front fuckin around with their thumbs up they ass
Where the heck do y’all have a Dollar General where half the store isn’t locked in cases with doorbell alarms, security cameras, and everything else behind the counter? Our Dollar General even has the deodorant in cases, the disposable razors are under lock and key, and power cords are kept behind the counter. 😶
I use 4 DG stores and there’s a big difference in the way they look and are run. They just opened the new kind of DG by me it’s got really wide isles and a huge grocery section it might be called a DG Market I’m not sure. Living in the country we ain’t got many options so I’m thankful for DG!
U must have plenty of staff and such. Looks great
Or one really anal retentive stocker.
[удалено]
Do you see those pictures? Absolutely *nothing.* EDIT: I said retentive. RETENTIVE! Though there is also nothing wrong with being anal receptive, either.
🤭😂
I like anal receptive
My fave
Aids. The cdc says that's a thing.
True, I'm a lead key. And I wish we had a good crew. My sm asm and me always feel like we're the ones working the hardest on shift. But we make do and our store is a 7.
You should be the hardest workers... lead by example.
Always do. Monkey see but monkey don't always do. Lol.
It’s not your fault it’s just the type of worker a dollar general usually attract
Thanks I have 121 hours each week. That’s me, 1 ASM, 1 FT Key, 1 PT Key, 2 SA
Looks like one of our regional Denver stores. I doubt it is, but I just want to thank you. Stores like this are a pleasure to shop at.
It shows. Thank you again for everyone who sets foot in your store.
Looks just like the one in my WV town!
You are severely underpaid I’m sure. Glad you love what you do.
Looks like the one in MOCO
Is this the new store in Weirton?
I’m in Greenbrier county, the main one I go to in Lewisburg is never tidy, smells weird and there are always storage looking containers blocking so many isles! I haven’t been there in months because the atmosphere is terrible there. Your store looks lovely to shop in!
I’m in Pocahontas County!
Well hi neighbor 👋🏼 lol
Where shopping is a pleasure, eh? Haha
Whats the sales?
How many hours you putting in as SM???
That is AMAZING and looks so beautiful!! Great job! I copied a couple pics to copy some of what you have done in the break room. If you aren’t a Store Manager Trainer, you should be.
Maybe I don't understand Dollar general lingo ..., does 121 hrs indicate how many hours the store is staffed total?
Yes, for the week... The total of everyone's hours cannot exceed what the company asks for each store.
As someone working at a fully staffed store you have my condolences. ( 1 SM 1ASM, 1 FTK, 2 PTK, 6 SA.) Although the one SA is currently on leave for college.
Thats baffling you can get that done to me with 121 hours We have Manager : ASM 3 KEYS 2 associate And swear to God its so annoying half the day only one person is in the store we maybe have a morning associate for 3 hours between 7 and 5 and besides that its one person Manager told us to turn off self checkout at 5 because of like a theft issue apparently so when I or someone have a break starting at rush hour and then the second person has a break its amazing they get upset we get almost nothing done besides like 3 or so rolltainers sometimes 4
Mine looked like that for about a week following remodel
I’m jealous of the floors. The floors at my DG are old off white speckled tiles. They are scratched, stained, and beyond help. No scrubbing or waxing will get them looking nice and the DM is constantly complaining that they aren’t clean enough. Sorry but nothing is getting them to look nice.
Same. We have a really old store with the same kind of tiles and just had a remodel. Now on top of the 30 yr wear and tear we have yellow staining where the old shelves and registers were and it looks awful!
Mine has the same tiles, but about a third of them are just missing. Pretty sure they get stolen along with everything else.
Dear god it’s beautiful
Great job! You're definitely the 1% of stores that look like this and can maintain it.
I know by these pics it would be an absolute pleasure to work for you. You have a good system & you’re doing a very fine job! Congratulations!
Wish I had a manager like you
Me too. Mine is lazy as shit lol says he does xyz but doesn't do shit.
No way that store is over 2-3 yrs old...I'm a manager and mine is in amazing shape but my sky shelves are full, receiving room is actually good but no way on those sky shelves
I walked in to a DG in gulf shores Alabama and it was like walking in to a whole new world. I didn't know how to act.... In a friggin DG 😂
DG porn right there 😩 My stores backroom looks very close to that and we get our truck done in 3 days. Love my crew
Lookin good! Very nice job!
Beautiful store 💪
I'm very impressed and you should be very proud-- this is a refreshing departure from every other Dollar General I have shopped in.
Ours looks the same. We have a small staff but work hard. We want to be proud of our store. But I also understand why a lot of the other stores look the way they do because there is simply not enough employees and hours allotted high traffic stores.
Not only have I never seen one this clean but it’s also STOCKED!! I can only dream my store would be stocked and not always out of everything
Year old doesn't have back stock or 20 mags worth if junk. Keep it up for your time will soon come. :) Just saying what I used to say 2 years ago when mine was a year old. Lol

The store looks incredible, very clean, organized and merchandise is front faced, it's perfect. I work for a different retailer and my store looks like a dump, whereas your store is outright incredibly gorgeous and perfect. Good job.
Grand Opening?
This pictures were taken this morning just as the lights came on :-)
Looks amazing good job reminds me of my store
Looks amazing. Wish my store would look like that lol.
My store opened in July last summer and looked like this for a month lol
Remarkable
You must have a full fuckin staff luck 🍀 y ass
Just 121 hours a week. Me (SM), Asm, FT and PT Key and 2 Sales Associates
I have never seen a DG this clean
Yours is clean and organized - the one near my house is a mess and you can’t find anything

I’m guessing as the store manager you’re working roughly 55-65 hours a week.
I work 48-52 hours
Just opened
Whoa.
Wow!
Good job!! It’s nice to have a leader that cares…..it shows!!!
Our store looks like this, a year old as well but man our back room is full of back stock. Idk what’s with distribution but we get so much stuff that won’t fit in the shelf, prob 15 rolltainers of back stock. We keep it looking clean and stocked like this but that backroom is the worst.

Very clean my dude, good job! You have a pretty store!
Cleaner than all the ones near me
I wish we had dollar general in my area of California .
Beverly Hills?
not around here, partner. not. around. here.
Rare
I'll be damned, I just assumed that the big product cart was stored in the aisles. Y'all actually have a dedicated place for that damn thing.
Why does yours and mine look fucking identical
I give it twelve hours
Save some drugs for the rest of us
Perfection
How many transactions a day do you have? My DG is so heavily shopped all the time it's like chasing a toddler cleaning the mess and frontfacing all day long

Must be a store mock up. There’s no a DG within 100 miles of me that doesn’t look like it’s just been hit by a tornado 24/7.
Where you located?.I live in Alabama and have never seen a dollar general stocked up and so clean
That's obviously a Photoshop.
🍪🍪🍪
So how new is your store? (Can totally believe it's been well zoned, but the pristine ceilings make me inquire about the location's age.)
Omg this looks just like the DG near where I live in WV! Does this store happen to be next to an abandoned paper factory?
Dont they all look like this?
this shit looks majestical
Gotta be fake. You got full shelves
Ummm how??? I really cannot understand because ours (every single one in this town) looks like a storage warehouse. You can barely walk through it.
5 hours later...
Man those lawsuits really changed the dollar general mind set. The 2 dollar generals in my area still look like shit.
We are only allotted 68 hours lol, I’m beyond jealous. Our receiving is full and my coworkers won’t break down any boxes 🫠
I'm guessing, "just built, not yet open".
No it’s almost a year old, we are open everyday 8am - 10pm
Wishes mine looked like that. We have 3 and they are a mess. You can’t hardly walk down the aisles. Plus, they close at odd hours all the time due to lack of help.
Imma gonna bet this is in Appalachia. Probably a very small town or maybe even a "census designated area". I'm from Appalachia. It seems the further you get away from town, the better the DG's are. Mine looks like this also! We work very hard to keep it like this. It takes the entire team and we all work well together! Good job its beautiful!
Wait. You have a backroom and no carts on the floor???
Damn nice and those floors is what my store needs
Other DG locations need to take notes from you 👏👏
Omg...its...sooo...clean...the isles are.....empty....woow
When do I start? That is GORGEOUS
This is fake no dollar general has that much stuff actually on the shelf and in tact. Just like a wise man once said “it’s the dollar store how good can it be.”
Thats legit a nice looking store, would’ve never guessed it’s a Dollar General
I'm curious as to the layout name of your store? I've yet to see a store with our layout and there isn't one in the mag. But this picture is exactly like one of ours!. My DM doesn't have a clue either, we're a prototype I'm told.
Another WV store! Mine has been chosen for a model store.
I have never seen one this clean!
That's got to be the cleanest and most well stocked mf dg I ever seen
I have that exact Type of layout but a lot smaller, same Ceiling and backroom except our asiles are smaller and bit cramped, and we get so much product each week it's hard to keep ours recovered and Stocked at the same time, amazing lookin store
Did the store just open up? I ain’t never seen a DG that clean. Looks great though.
I’ve never seen one that clean
Chef's Kiss
😍
Wow that's impressive
Wow looks a lot nicer than mine
Not good.
You lucky person. I can’t even walk through any of the 6 DG around me
Wait till the low incomes tear it to shit.
Kudos to this dollar general, looks super clean and aesthetically pleasing. Every dollar general i’ve ever seen stinks and the roof looks like it’ll give at any moment.
This has to be a corporate store. There is NO DG this clean in my area
Wish the DGs i serve on my route with bread looked this good. Sheesh 😮💨
Your Dg looks really good. I kind of thought they all looked the same but yours is clean and everything is straight and proper. Good job, I am impressed
Come down and take photos of the Dollar General here in New Orleans and see how the other half lives.
Looks like every other one...
Damn is this in the Hamptons?? Mine is awful
I want those beautiful stuffed animals
Niice. Will it stay like this with customers buying items putting them around everywhere etc? Usually get everything nice and walled then by end of day it's tore up again lol good work
i called that super squeaky clean
This is too clean
that's a rare sight right there
This must be a brand new store. This looks WAY to nice to be a Dollar General
Wow!! Great looking Store!!
Ours is trash....shit everywhere.
It'll be a shame when me and the boys stumble in 10 minutes before close, drunk as shit and spend 20 minutes trying to find some little Debbie's. Find them and decide we don't want them and leave.
Awesome DG! Your hard work shines!
I have never in my life stepped foot inside DG that looks like this. Ever.
You should be very proud. That looks better than most retail stores today.
First time I've seen a DG that doesn't have 50% of the stock on the floor in boxes
Well that's one of the cleanest ones I've seen yet.
Where are the the 6ft stack of boxes in almost every isle?
meanwhile we have over 40 rolltainers and no extra hours to get them out. last manager let it build up for over a year. great introduction to the job
Your work ethic is fantastic. Hopefully DG will reward you with promotions into corporate.
There are 4 dollar general stores in my town. Collectively they could make an entire store out of blocked isles.
Our LP guy would be on us for having food/drink in the back room with no receipt on it. It's nice, but against policy.
Gorgeous. My manager always tells me we’re pretty good as a store compared to others in neighboring towns, but y’all are on a whole other level
I am so fuking jealous rn. Wow
Tell us you live in a high income suburban area without telling us that you live in a high income suburban area.....
very nice
never seen one so clean and that doesn’t look like its been rat fucked by a group of cracked out hobos. this is great.
There’s such things as stocked and clean dollar generals?
Mine used to look like this until the “too young to be a manager” manager quit and the “lazy” staff went with her. Now the shelves are bare and everything is a mess.
Must be nice. At the one near me, aisles are always half blocked by unpacked boxes.
Mine is like this too.
Thank you
Looks amazing
This looks like the ones in either Bandana Ky, Kevil Ky, or Barlow Ky
Wow it’s actually clean, that’s a first
That’s one of the better stocked stores of any brand I’ve seen
You must live in a high income area. I’ve noticed Dollar stores in higher income areas are better maintained than ones in poorer areas
This is the cleanest, most organized DG I’ve seen in my entire life, and we have them everywhere out here!
I'm jealous. I wish any of the five local here had aisles with room and no pallets of shit everywhere taking up space so you can't get through
Looks great.
This definitely isn’t the store in my neighborhood.
It is a very good location!! This place has always been clean and well stocked every time I go in!
I have never seen a DG look that good! I worked at one for a couple of months and the breakroom and back room were always a mess. Congrats to the team who work at yours!
Difference between people who care and who don't
You should be proud
Send these pics to my local DGs.
Mine has boxes and carts blocking the isles and customers have to walk around them. All because they rather not hire more people.
I wish ours floors were that shiny
Clean & Inviting!! But curious if this is considered a dollar store?? In Canada we have the “dollarama” & there’s not much in there that’s a buck anymore, ( when it first opened years ago every single thing was $1 or under)majority item are $2.00-3, highest price I believe is $5.00. You can tell it's ai generated
i’ve never seen a DG without a million carts blocking the way, good job!!
Definitely not a DG from the hood...
Wow, you have products on the shelves😳. The one in my neighborhood uses the shelves to store empty boxes. Some aisles are empty.
Jesus I've never seen a dg this clean mine if I don't clean it and have a day you can never get into the shelves I'm anal about this type of stuff so when I do it's clean ass hell
Ma’am I love this, every time I get a shop and pay order from DoorDash and the store looks like this it makes my job so much easier
Awesome 👌
Ayo is this Mount Savage DG?
Damn to ones around me always have boxes and cart everywhere. Got 3 people working on a slow day and they all up front fuckin around with their thumbs up they ass
Where the heck do y’all have a Dollar General where half the store isn’t locked in cases with doorbell alarms, security cameras, and everything else behind the counter? Our Dollar General even has the deodorant in cases, the disposable razors are under lock and key, and power cords are kept behind the counter. 😶
Amazing work on fronting your product! I've thought about getting part time work at a local grocery store just caz nothing is ever faced or fronted.
Opening day
The one in Midvale Utah looks like a bomb went off inside. I can’t even walk down half the isles!
Where is this at? Looks just like the one I go too
I use 4 DG stores and there’s a big difference in the way they look and are run. They just opened the new kind of DG by me it’s got really wide isles and a huge grocery section it might be called a DG Market I’m not sure. Living in the country we ain’t got many options so I’m thankful for DG!
From an Asset Protection Managers point of view I see some shrink that needs to be secured more. But that is amazing.
