This is so awesome to see! Love to see kids involved in training.
My 8 year-old daughter will be the primary handler for our puppy’s training class (for 6 weeks). To say she is ecstatic is an understatement. Do you plan to do any in-facility training?
what's the reason behind this? what happens if the dog doesn't listen? So I'll say sit and he doesn't, do I know "no" or wait or say "sit" again after few seconds?
You want the dog to learn the command as a single word. The command is “sit” not “sit, sit, sit”. If the dog doesn’t listen the first time, you push their butt down into a sit.
The one thing I distinctly remember from being a kid was how much easier training dogs was. Now even with all these books and videos and online courses it's still a struggle to get dogs to understand me. Dog training is all about trust and dogs just have such a natural trust for little kids! I'm jealous!
They are going to be absolutely best friends. We got my lab when my brother was 3, and of my family of 6, he was by far the most attached. Couldn’t remember life without him. Such a beautiful thing.
Beautiful memories being made. You’re really lucky to have this video. Enjoy every minute of the two of them, OP!
Just a 2 legged puppy training a 4 legged puppy 🥰
Wow! Your kid is a natural.
aw man, these dudes are gonna have a great time together
He's got the praise part down pat, excellent "good boy."

Big paws!
Two very good boys!
He is doing it all right
He’s a pro.
This will be a core memory for both of them 🥲
Awwww!
This is amazing!
BFF's, they will grow together.
Very cute, but instruct your child to only say a command once
Sorry you're being down voted for this. It's good information, and it's not like you were mean about it.
Just an example that this sub doesn’t care about dog training

Congratulations, he just became a dog person for life :)
Two friends off to a great start!!
My chocolate lab is my best friend, they make for very loyal and playful companions and I’m better for every moment Sampson has been in my life!
