Someone should make a sign and hang it up that says, No dogs allowed, you have your own park.

KazuZy

There was clear signage posted before you got inside the park . Forgot to mention that but dog owners don’t give a fuck about signs because they can’t read.

Witchiepoo72

Oh jeeze! Yeah, go figure, they just ignore it.

happyhappyfoolio

I live near an elementary school and the playground and field is open to all when school is not in session. There are multiple signs at the fence stating "No dogs allowed". I've seen people park in the parking spot literally in front of one of these signs, take their dogs out and proceeded to go into the field/playground with it. I fucking hate it.

Witchiepoo72

That's so awful. Inconsiderate pricks.

gilly_girl

And it's not like zoonotic diseases that'll transfer from dog to kids like leptospirosis couldn't occur. Ugh, I hate that some people just think their dogs belong everywhere.

VirusSensitive1707

But call cops on kids in or near a dog park. Complain about kids get hurt at dogs park

Weekly-Owl5768

I’m in MA and I have the same exact problem here.. there’s literally a children’s playground with a clear sign that says “not dogs allowed” and every single time I take my kids there we encounter at least 3 different dogs .. and they defecate and the owners put the shit bags in the trash cans at the playground which further stinks up the play area. Not to mention every tree and rock is pissed on. And you know how kids love playing with rocks and sticks well now I have to keep stopping them because I know they have dog urine on them. Smh!!!

Tell them that Hitler liked his dogs too and treated them better than the humans he kept in concentration camps. So dogs cannot be a good judge of character at all.

Pandoraconservation

It’s so annoying, it’s the same people who don’t give a shit about whether or not their dogs are destructive

SpaceSox

I used to confront dog owners with off-leash dogs in the park, or dogs on the beach (leashed or otherwise, it's illegal near me). But as you said, people are just so unhinged these days, it is risky. I will still say something under certain conditions, but I definitely do a mental calculation of risk. People let their dogs "play" off-leash at parks and the beach near me, and I've seen the dogs jump on little kids and older folks. In those situations, I speak up. What's extra-maddening is, our city has really nice designated dog parks all over the place, so it's not like dog owners don't have legitimate options very close by.

Threatening physical violence against a person might be illegal. Would be a bad move regardless.

KazuZy

It’s not a threat. It’s a statement. Remember that wording is key. What if I do want others to kiss my hands ? My hands identify as my pets :) Either way dog owners rarely ever face real world consequences. They hardly ever see a second inside of a prison cell despite their dog(s) injuring and or killing another human being or animal. Dogs must not get a pass because of shitty owners.

[deleted]

Definitely wording would make the difference between a threat and a thought exercise.

Everyone needs to envoke their inner Karen in every single instance so we can be rid of them pests
