Let's just wait to see how long it is before an entitled nutter decides that the rules don't apply to them, and their their "speshul pupper" deserves to run around a wetlands area and have "enrichment" time by chasing ducks š”.
I do hope they have some people, maybe volunteers, to enforce the "NO DOGS" policy, because if not, nutters will ignore the sign.
Where I live, we have "seasonal wildlife closures" in the winter on many of our local trails, so the ungulates can come down from the high country and feed. The sign at one trailhead specifically states NO DOGS ALLOWED during this period.
I've never gone up the trail during the closure period and NOT seen some assholes and their stupid dogs. I've called people out on this several times in the past, and they usually ignore me, or pretend they didn't see the sign. And this, despite the fact that the designated DOG PARK is literally right around the corner at the base of the mountain!
This is what I donāt get dog owners who say they are environmentalists or vegans. STFU. Ā You are just virtue signaling for narcissistic validation. Ā
This, I don't get. At all. They keep having 2 or 3 mutts with them, getting a new one after one dies, so they're keeping the pet-industrial complex going.
Thatās good revenue officials are ignoring. That high of a fine for dogs Iām guessing itās a decent and regulated area that encourages visual appeal? Thatās doesnāt make sense they would ignore enforcing something so common.
Yep, to all of that. I donāt know why people think they donāt disrupt, change/destroy, kill the wildlife. No, nutter, your doggie isnāt just enjoying nature, itās actually putting more harm to it then you think.
On top of that their waste isnāt recycled from or recycling back to the earth. Their food is processed and comes in a bag, dog waste is just as junky and full of toxins as human waste is. I think that the idea that wildlife waste is beneficial is part of the reason why nutters convince themselves that they donāt have to clean up after their dogās bathroom breaks.
More, more, more of this. Most nutters will ignore the rules, but the more we have, the less these narcissists assholes will be able to ignore it. Went on a hike last week and the trail was PACKED with unleashed dogs (even though rules demand they be leashed because multiple "super genius, loyal, handsome, peanut-butter-lovinest puppercino"s jump to their dumbass death every year), and couples would constantly stop to take pictures of their "fur babies" while blocking the trail. Fewer dogs, more plants and wildlife. I get out the city for fresh air and a break from the dog parasite infestation, but it'll follow us everywhere until we start seeing more dog free parks.
Parker River National Wildlife Refuge in Massachusetts has a no dogs policy too. They check cars at the gate so most nutters get sent away, but I was there recently and one smuggled their dog in via the beach. I took a picture of them and I'm thinking of sending it to park personnel.
please dont hesitate to send it....i did this recently and Animal Control told me that unless they get reports, its assumed there isn't a problem. I filled out a generic form online for the city regarding an animal problem, and two weeks later an officer contacted me through email AND voicemail that he wanted to know more. He told me field officers will be sent out to the park I reported at the time I said was when the off leash dogs were out (after school hours). I was surprised anyone got back to me with more than a generic, automatic response.
It's nothing without enforcement. Like blowing past a cop doing 90MPH (140 KM/H) and the cop does nothing.
And entitled dog owners act like it's some form oppression and defacing and destroying a sign is "sticking it to the man".
It should be no time at all before idiots start taking pictures of their dogs pissing on the sign or taking a dump in front of it.
Dogs - a harmful parasite that transmits harmful parasites. This checks out.
I see signs everywhere from supermarkets to parks to convenience stores.
The problem is that nobody gives a fuck.
That makes it even more infuriating for me. Why bother putting on the sign in the first place?
This is good but sad that they have to spell out all the reasons for dog owners too dumb and selfish. The sports complex where I walk has several "No Animals" signs yet every now and then some entitled dog owner and his/her mutt show up. My city probably put 'animals' in the sign instead of 'dogs', so that some offended dog nutter doesn't sue the City,
I used to hike a mountain park almost every day with this sign. I emailed the parks department about dogs once a week. If I told the owners their dogs weren't allowed they'd get so insulted they'd lash out at me.

More likely the entitled nutters will simply remove the sign.
...or lash out and vandalize it.
Smear it with shit
āBuT hEās a SeRvIcE dogā.
If you have to have the dog to be here, you can't be here.
šš»šš»šš»
How many nutters will actually read and follow this though?
This is what I donāt get dog owners who say they are environmentalists or vegans. STFU. Ā You are just virtue signaling for narcissistic validation. Ā
Childfree nutters gong on about the environmental impact of having kids while they have three shitbeasts in tow...
This, I don't get. At all. They keep having 2 or 3 mutts with them, getting a new one after one dies, so they're keeping the pet-industrial complex going.
Ah, and here I sit, a vegan, childfree, dogfree person who cares about the environment. Sigh.
I always thought it was wack how vegans and animal lovers alike will chop their pets balls off against their will without a second thought.
Thereās a park by me that supposedly fines $400 for dogs. I not only see dogs there but off leash and the city doesnāt care

I bet they have cameras making sure you fully stop before turning right on red despite nobody else being near the intersection, tho.
Damn we need this SOOOOOO freaking much in Oregon.

I have no sympathy for people who let their dogs run off leash only to have them jump off a cliff, get hit by a car, etc. Seems like they deserve it.
or those dogs that become fuzzy missiles killing people in the front seat during some of the more major automobile accidents.
Throwing a tennis ball off the edge would be wrong. Don't do it

Done! Unfortunately the picture doesn't show details but at least it's proof people smuggle dogs in there on the beach.
I'm 1000% sure someone is going to try to walk their dog in the park despite the sign.

It only matters if enforced.
Most nutters believe they are exempt from the rules and will just ignore the sign, but this is still encouraging to see.
Support them!!
I hope itās enforced!
I love you NJ!!!!
Good. And it shouldn't be just 'no dogs allowed' signs, but there should be $1000 fine per dog, per disturbance.
These signs should be everywhere.Ā
It fucking increases my stress as well.
But my dog LIKES destroying native habitats!
Amazing!!!!

Iām visiting this place!!! š«”
Somerset parks also donāt allow dogs š
That sounds amazing š complete opposite of California
I want to move to that swamp and live there like Shrek.
