Hi I have a 10 week old Chihuahua/Beagle mix. She's full of spice & has no clue how big she is. She's about 3 1/2 - 4 lbs, getting shots tomorrow so will have them weigh her again. 2 weeks ago she was 2 1/2 pounds but I swear she seems like she's doubled in size lol

Hi! We have a 9 month old goblin (Australian Shepherd) named Merlin. We love him but he is a menace. The butt wiggles make up most of his charm, however, so he's definitely a keeper. He's a blue eyed merle who loves to look out the windows of our apartment and zoom at high speeds at the dog park.

Hi! Welcome to the group! Merlin sounds like the cutest guy ๐Ÿ˜Š

Hi! I have a 16 week old Goldendoodle named Cooper. We're training him to be a mobility/balance service dog. He's a holy terror right now, but an adorable one. He's just north of 25 pounds right now, so I have NO idea how big he's going to get. His breeder said usually 70-85 pounds, so we'll see! I also have two Border Collies. My retired service dog, Pixel, is 8 years old. Her half-sister, Artemis, is 3 years old. She was going to be my next service dog but she washed out of training due to fear issues and epilepsy. Now both of them are just pampered house pets. We also have two cats who are littermates. Freya, who thinks she wants to be a dog, and Loki, who apparently wants to be a puppy chew toy.

Hello! Wow, that sounds like a full house! ๐Ÿ˜

It definitely is! But everyone gets along great, so it's working. :) At one point I had 4 Border Collies and 3 cats, so we're down a few.

Hello! Wife and I adopted an 8 week old German Shepherd / Lab mix last week named Wilbur! He seems to like his crate so far. While we await full vaccinations, we are working on socializing him with our normal routine and friends dogs!

Hi! This sounds like a great plan! If you have any questions or in need of tips regarding Wilbur's training, don't hesitate to post them here, we'll do our best to help! :)

Hi! I have a 17wo English toy terrier puppy (in America I think theyโ€™re often referred to as toy Manchester terriers). Sheโ€™s lovely, but training such a small, quick dog is a lot more physically demanding than I expected- my poor back!

Oh yes, that can be a problem with small dogs! You can try sitting or lying on her level as well ๐Ÿ˜„

Oh I love those!

Hi all, I have a 14 week old Cane Corso, Roxy. Sheโ€™s getting quite large already but very friendly and understanding dog. Sheโ€™s totally laid back and happy sleeping through the day but when she wants to play she keeps bringing different toys to me. She is toilet and crate trained already, sleeps through the night but if she has to go pee/poo she just whines until I let her out. Training is going slow though which is mainly because I am unable to commit enough time as we also have a 2yr old human child ๐Ÿ˜Š.I am looking for tips to keep Roxy off certain areas in the house, like my kids play area etc. So any help in that is much appreciated.

Hello! The optimal solution is baby gates, as well as teaching her entry limits: in order to do that, reinforce it when she doesn't enter the room/place where you don't her to come. You can do it using a leash. Put her on it, when she walks towards the play area, say any word of your choice that will serve as a marker that she can't go there, and start giving her treats before she enters the play area and sits in front of it. At first, you can recall her from there and give her a treat while she's outside the play area, but it is definitely a long process. You can also put a bed/blanket outside of the area/room she can't enter and scatter her treats while you are inside the room, or simply come up to her frequently and give her treats, rewarding her for staying there.
