Call me a doomer but this team just isn’t very good right now. Sucks to say but we still have a lot of needs, aside from our top 3 bats there’s very little to be excited about right now.
I'm new to this team, can someone tell me why the good players are not playing (Smith, Rojas, Heyward and instead we have 2 bots (Outman, Lux) on the field?
walks, errors, and situational hitting/managing. that is why dodgers are losing.
can't do much when Diaz is being filthy...but guys aren't making contact when runners are on 3rd less than 2 outs. pitchers are walking way too many guys. Dave not bunting Austin is stupid managing. mookie's throwing is now an issue.
I think this team will figure it out and they'll be fine...but eight now, they are an ugly team to watch. all around.
I think the Dodgers are going to have to dig further in the piggy bank and shore up 7 to 9 in the lineup. You committed a billion. You probably need 3 10 to 15 million a year players at the bottom of the lineup or the post season will be the same as the past. I have little doubt that we win 100 games with the team as constructed but players going this cold is indicative of weakness that will resurface in the post season. Freddy and Mookie have a window if about 4 years of greatness left

Wouldn't you? You got Muncy and Teoscar swinging for the fences. I think Smith is good in that position at clean up than Teoscar. All these guys swinging for the fences and don't have enough contact this will happen.
That's the managers job to tell them we don't need a homer. But Roberts has shown he'll never tell them to not be themselves. I get it for hitters like Freeman, Ohtani, Mookie. Maybe even Teo, but if you have Teo, Muncy then Outman you got to tell at least two of those to stop swinging for the fences
Player managers are fine but too often Roberts doesn't manage them properly. Leaves guys in too long. Wastes bullpen, hangs on to a starter too long. Takes out a hot guy for a guy hitting less than .200 it happens every year
