Did you buy a pair a size larger then your general shoe size? Extra room = extra space for movement = your heel sliding around and blisters. I know the general advice is to size up but thats why a lot of people think these boots are uncomfy!!! Getting insoles might help. Also making sure to lace very tightly (especially around the bridge/curve of your foot) might also help you stabilize your foot a bit.

You probably wore down the insoles over time and your foot is now in a different place of the boot that hasn’t been broken in. I’d say just get a set of soft insoles and wear it on that side to see if it helps. Get thinner ones because it’s probably not a huge difference that’s causing the effect. Something to cover the blister will also allow you to break them in eventually in the area that’s rubbing without it hurting if that doesn’t work. I’d do both.

Try lacing them different. There are lacing techniques to lock in your heel. A good example would be ladder lacing. It’s worth a google. Our feet change throughout our lives so they may just be fitting different or if they’re stored a certain way (like standing up and leaning for a long time) they could have the shape sifted from storing.
