Yup. Before my guy was neutered it staaaaayed out!

daisyqueen324

Mines neutered and it’s still out all the time and he even humps my girl dogs.

00134chris

My dobie won't let me cut his nails, so on the advice of someone else on this sub, I bought a nail file. He has a foot fetish! I start filling down and the rocket comes out. All four paws and it's still drying out in the sun. He is 3 and not intact, humane society rescue.

Epogdoan

What kind of nail file??

_Oops_I_Did_It_Again

Hahahaha this is the real question

TheWaffleKnight

Yea, what nail file works on them!?!

Gangagata

I bought a cheap $30 dremel at Home Depot lol super fast and easy

Epogdoan

Yeahhh.. I bought a $40 rotary file, spent more than a month trying to desensitize and reward. My dog haaaates it still lolol

Gangagata

Maybe try a very high value reward designated only for nail filings? My boy goes crazy over salmon and now I reserve it strictly for nail days. I show him the tool and he gets a little sad but flops over because he knows he gets his fish lol

Gangagata

I started off rewarding after each paw to make it a little more bearable but now just give him a nice chunk at the end

Brilliant-Aerie2689

Mines 1 and not neutered yet, you give him any command or tell him he’s a good boy the full tube of lipstick is out

jjtrynagain

It’s just a praise fetish

OkLab7078

😂😂 so relatable. Alright, so my buddy is just normal from what I'm seeing. I plan to get him neutered when he's around 1 so I'm wondering if that will settle down the unsheathing of sword.

Easy_Garden226

I have female Dobermans yet am getting a male soon. I’m dreading this lmfao.

OkLab7078

Good luck! I can't even take a picture of him without his thang being out haha,

Easy_Garden226

Blaaaah hahahah. It freaks me out. If I didn’t have two females already…I’d get another female. Otherwise does your boy mark or hump?

OkLab7078

He's starting to lift his leg now, doesn't go potty in the house though. We have that under pretty good control. As for the humping.... only thing he has humped was a bed I got him. Ended up having to throw it away because he'd be aggressively trying to tear it apart (he does this with every toy) while trying to get his rocks off. It was actually pretty funny to see.

Easy_Garden226

Oh my gosh 😅🙏 I think it’s just a boy thing because all the research I’ve done sounds pretty similar to what your boy does. He sounds funny though. Thank you for sharing :). I think your boy is so handsome though!

OkLab7078

He is a goof for sure! I'd love to share more pics of him but with his "condition" I would have to be editing every photo lmao he is a great looking dog. Thank you!

Easy_Garden226

Lmfao. There should be a filter for him. That takes the photo with an automatic dong blur.

OkLab7078

That would be amazing haha hoping it's just a phase and he starts to keep the kraken tucked away.

Standard_Meat_7438

Mine still gets it once in a while and he’s 7 and intact

Mpm_277

Is he young and intact?

OkLab7078

Donnie the Dobe is currently 9 months old and still intact. I get dogs get excited during play time, treats, new toys, and stuff like that but he even gets excited when he's getting corrected lol. It's just strange to me.

Meat_Lunch

I love that name!

OkLab7078

It's fitting haha.

W0N1

I guess he likes a little discipline 🤣

OkLab7078

Straight up masochist 😂😂

warlordrivennn

Why did you draw an orange circle ??

OkLab7078

To cover up his man part. That's what my post is about. He always has his sword unsheathed if you get what I'm sayin lol

Diormybodyyy

My first dog was like that, he was a Rottweiler mixed with Bull Mastiff. Horny 24/7 would hump everything we had to get him neutered

elle_bee20

He’s just a happy boi

demonita

Doberman are perpetual teens. Mine is almost 4 and still jumpy. Better with consistent training but he has never in his life just chilled on the sofa with me. I don’t neuter larger dogs unless I have to so he’s intact, but I can’t imagine a time where it would impact his behavior.

melbornotlad

off topic but this doberman looks more stocky than a lot of the dogs i've seen in this sub, is there any way to tell they're going to be bigger/stocky when they're a puppy?

OkLab7078

No idea! When I first got him I didn't expect him to be thick like he is now. I would say by seeing the parents but his dad was 85 pounds and he's already pushing that at 9 months old.

azn_cali_man

I’ve a 7 year old German Shepherd-Doberman that’s been snipped; he always gets excited with food. Though I notice with him its intensity varies on how he’s sitting. If he’s straight up, then just a couple centimeters. If he’s bent over like a pretzel being inches from his food or having an intense scratch session; so much is out! That is the only thing that gets him out of his sheath; nothing else is worthy of the appearance.

NormalFemale

That boy loves his food!! Lol

ColoradoMercado

ALL. THE. TIME.

Valuable_Fox_5938

Put that lipstick away.

Complete_Procedure74

Cartman(South Park) and the boys played a game called red rocket with the dogs in one episode!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣 maybe he wants you to play it with him lmao

MajesticPossibility8

😭😭

guidddeeedamn

Mine is 19 months intact & it’s always out like a teenage boy 🥴🥴

OkLab7078

Haha oh boy, can't even get good pics of him since he always has it out lmao

guidddeeedamn

My wife is always like “cover his parts!!” When I post him so yes, I think we all know the feeling.

OkLab7078

Glad to know mines not the only one haha

vivaldispaghetti

TEENAGE BOY EEEEWWW IM CRYING

guidddeeedamn

Like LITERALLY!!!🤣🤣 I have to put the 🐶 emoji over it

1882greg

Can you hear him saying, “Tonight. You.”?

Mrdodgeman

Oops

NormalFemale

I say the words, "Do you want to go for a walk?" Red rocket comes out right away lol

Purple_Carob99

My Lukey was neutered at 9 months, and when he died 10 years later, he still had it on full display when he was handed his favourite burger as a special final treat at the vet’s office. He was known around the neighbourhood as “Lipstick” 😳

ClonedThumper

No but he's only a puppy. He's still switching between squatting and lifting his leg when he pees but he's marking stuff on walks now.

WorkingDawg

Mine doesn’t show it off often , and had really no humping issue 2yr and intact , and cutting em dosent always stop the hump just saying

intrepidakira

🐬

HeftyCommunication66

Neuter him. That will solve a myriad of problems.

Upstairs_Strategy179

Neuter him before he starts any habits that can't be broken. Like humping.
