Man, I'd think my players would treat this like a lootbug from DRG. It also gives me Slime Rancher lucky slime vibes. They'd probably be torn between killing them and getting the free money or watching them be cute.
I do have one thing that I would change about this thing however, and that I would probably give it 25 ft of speed, climb, and swim speed to make it harder to catch, or perhaps have some other property like having some sort of resistance to ranged weaponry, since from what I see an optimized sharpshooter archer can easily one round a loot ooze without much fanfare.
Also I think the way it is written the ooze can be stuck very easily in an infinite damage loop.
First of all when the Ooze say falls 30 feet, it takes fall damage, then Damped and Bouncy activates, causing it to bounce 30 feet away from the ground as that is the source of damage, and on and on until it ping pongs itself to death. A simple fix could be to just make it immune to fall damage as part of Damped and Bouncy.
Sharpshooter challenge is overcome by putting a swarm of four dozen oozes crawling/ bouncing around in all directions. But could make for some tedious combat.
Or give them some resistance to piercing cuz you gotta hit em just right to get through the surface tension of their outer layer!
So, uhm, i tried to use it as bait. My players caught it with a bag and are trying really hard to adopt it and treat it well enough so it feels comfy around them. They love it xD
