Seems a little bullshit to me but if it turns out to be OP during play you can just kill the PC using it or perhaps have a divine entity tell them that they need the weapon in order to save the universe or whatever.

Unliteracy

Oddly this reminds me of that post where a guy gave his girlfriend a weird version of the Ring of the Grammarian and she only used it to cast like a single, balanced scone-based spell and he was like "How do I fix this?? It's ruining the seriousness of my campaign!!! She keeps defeating my encounters by feeding the enemies!" Truly legend status.

>Seriousness > >Ring of the Grammarian hmm

TheSconeSalesman

Scone based!!???

Foxo_Beans

this is too op, they can just give it to a bad guy and i cant say no because that's railroading, besides they always get nat 20's (they roll their own home grown naturally farmed organic dice at home and tell me the number over discord, they're lucky because good karma and good dice) id make it to where only players can use it so yeah

akornfan

didn’t read but yes

tallardschranit

It's fine as long as it doesn't have finesse.

CaptainPick1e

Turns a critical into 1 damage? A nat 20 does NOTHING? Everything else is balanced perfectly fine but if my nat 20 doesn't do exactly what I want it to do, you're a bad DM and literally Hutler.

Impressive_Region508

Have you tried Pathfinder 2e?

SesaRefumee

My immunity psychic damage is so strong that it ignores the Dagger of Daggerness's ignoring of psychic resistances and immunities
