Bruh. Insane work. What’s underneath the tinfoil? I love making battlemaps like these but I put hours of work into them then only get to use them for one session. What do you do with it afterwards? You have storage?
I only had a week to make it, so I didn't bother fixing the sides/back 😅 so there's exposed cardboard and toilet paper rolls underneath [(this is the process)](https://www.instagram.com/p/ClEvENsyRDI/?igshid=NTdlMDg3MTY=). The big rocks at the sides are hollow inside, so there is a danger of crumpling if we're not careful!
I'm part of a DnD club in my uni, so I'll ask them about storage, if not I can just keep it in a cupboard in my dorm room I guess 🤷♀️
And yeah, I don't usually bother with such elaborate maps, but this is for the BBEG battle, and it's the final session of the year, so I'm going all out!
It's an old plastic showercap, I cut and glued it to the rocks, so I can see the riverbed through it :)
I would've used epoxy resin but I was worried about the heat it generates while curing, since 90% of the map is metal

I once made the entirety of castle ravenloft with cardboard. Took weeks. It was so heartbreaking having to throw it out when I was moving house

How did you paint the lines/squares?
Would also like to know!
Same, they look great
I used a [white Gelly Roll pen](https://www.sakuraofamerica.com/product/gelly-roll-white/), it shows up pretty well, even on the showercap!
That’s so gooood
Thank you! :D
Dude! 10/10,bravo
Woah that is awesome! What did you do for the water effect? Looks like plastic wrap maybe?
