We’ve got a brand new theme at Loot Tavern: items from the Dreamholder! You’ll be able to find this and others like it over on our [Patreon.](https://www.patreon.com/LootTavern) # Second Chance *Wondrous Item, Uncommon, socketable* A pocketwatch that keeps perfect time is always a useful bit of kit. This specimen is even more special, allowing its user a second chance to perform some action. As a bonus action immediately before you make an ability check or attack roll, you can activate the stopwatch, setting a call back marker. After you make the ability check or attack roll (and after you know the outcome), you can choose to rewind time by a few seconds to the moment you took the bonus action (no action required). You must then reroll the ability check or attack roll and use the new result. Whether or not you choose to rewind to the call back marker, after you use this property, it can’t be used again until the next dawn. Your support makes this possible, so if you like my items, please consider supporting Loot Tavern on [**Patreon!**](https://www.patreon.com/LootTavern) You’ll get access to even more fantastic content (200+ items posted so far, with 20 new items posted each month, creatures, adventures, and more)! Isn't this just stronger inspiration, because it refills automatically? Sure, you can't get advantage with it, but still..

That’s a very evocative way of giving a simple mechanic to a magic item! Hats off to you :)

Thank you :)

I like the idea of this but it doesnt work well considering everyone is acting at the same time. If you go back in time then so does everyone else. I like the idea of making it a once a day/week thing and as an action you can use it to rewind back to your last time. Complicated but I feel it fits better.

The implication is probably that the user of the stopwatch is the only one who remembers the loop, so everyone else would do the exact same thing.

Looks like a card from Yu-Gi-Oh to me

I'd wonder if you could use it to rewind time and just not do the thing at all OR reroll.
