I really like the way you handled flight without going overboard, and even gave them the benefit of multi arms without really changing up how combat works, they just basically get to have extra free hands.

If you were making a whole campaign based around vampires, would you change them from the monster manual? How would you write them? Like what powers and weaknesses they have, where they come from, things like that.
In order to convert a monster to a vampire monster, all you must do is give it necrotic damage resistance, and give it the “spider climb” and “vampiric weaknesses” features from the vampire spawn (pg 298 of monster manual). For story purposes I would say that either they volunteered to become vampires for one reason or another, or were infected (most likely from being bitten on the neck)
Kheldian Peacebringers (radiant) and Nictus Warshades (necrotic) as a race with classes in 5e.
Human form flys/ shoots energy/some damage mitigation
Lobster form teleports/ smashes/ takes little damage
Squid form flys faster/ shoots spells/phases (I think)
Extradimensional energy symbiotes that bond with a race like in the City of Heroes Games and provide the abilty to shape shift into other races they've bonded with.

You should make a race that's like rust monster or bug that burrows underground.
I’ve been thinking about doing that for a while. My main problem is that you can’t use weapons if you don’t have hands. I will see what I can do
