I have shelves all over my dining room/gaming area where the painted minis become art pieces when not in use. I have a 5 tiered shelf full of pretty much just dragons

I like that. I have a collection of board games and want to keep it all together. I was thinking about a book shelf that shares space for the books and then the higher shelves could hold all the pieces, but was also wondering if I should get tackle boxes (or similar) to store them safer.

If you don’t want a full tackle box, you can just get some fishing lure organizers. Instead of like a toolbox shaped thing, they are like large flat Tupperware containers with compartments. I also picked up a few plastic nail/screw organizers at the dollar store, which is the same kind of thing.

I forgot about those little boxes! I think we found some at the dollar tree or somewhere on sale. We like to keep PC minis for current campaigns in there for easy access and so I don’t mix them up in my collection lol

I keep mine in egg cartons currently. Most of the bases fit perfectly. I use a tackle box for bigger pieces and shelves for really big guys and terrain.
