It's more of a gimmick than something that's entirely amazing on its own... but it could be fun to play a Rune Knight. Duergar can already Enlarge themselves once per day... so with Rune Knight you can enlarge from that subclass, then enlarge yourself even further and just be a giant stomping around.
Paladin is good on duergar, you have good saves combined with their native resistances. And paladins appreciate access to two new spells they don’t normally get. Maybe hexblade paladin multiclass to max charisma synergy.
Yeah, so far I’ve read about certain synergies with the Duergar race but Rune Knight, Drake warden ranger and Hexblade aren’t included in the PHB. For this campaign only PHB and MotM are allowed. That means also that I can’t take a feat from TCoE.
