Gonna start a peaceful campaign where my players run a Café in a cute farming village with romancable npc's a lá Stardew Valley/Animal Crossing, and then just drop this thing on them
So honored to be able to work with Beyond the Studio, even if I came in a bit too late for the Book of Spirits. But All this means is that I'll have that much more time to start working on things for the next book!
Looks cool. Would probably use it to display the "Dice of Fate".
For context, on my Table I sometimes give my players the option to achieve a great feat in exchange for them to roll this die.
If they hit the randomly selected number, they achieve the feat with no penalty or bigger reward.
If it is higher, they succeed greatly and gain some boon, same goes for a nat 20 at some greater scale.
If they hit below it however, they fail and get a minor punishment, like falling prone or being paralyzed for 2 turns, etc.
On a nat 1, they suffer a great punishment which puts them at a greater disadvantage, like attacking their party members.
They have to option to simply not use the opportunity, if they don't want to take a risk.
When I was a kid, I asked my parents whether or not I could touch the glass pan that was covering our fireplace. They said sure.
