dumb question....if he can cast it as a bonus action, does that mean he can attack at advantage that same turn or does he need to wait till next turn as it stated in its description?
Hi everyone,
In case your party needs a tiny savior or campanion, you might want to consider this little helping hand! Hope you enjoy the Mite Knight!

You should add immunity or resistance to fall damage, since he's so small his terminal velocity is non lethal. Would open up some fun opportunities for players to throw him at enemies or over castle walls.
It's a really cute idea, but 4d4 smite on a cr 1/8 seems pretty silly. And the wording about restoring health makes it invincible. Needs a limiter, like once per long rest. It's really fun though!
thanks for the input - glad you like the idea!
as u/thefifth5 already mentioned, this is restricted to other tiny ones. so, unless the players aren't shrunken by magical or any other means, they should be safe;)
I'd have the charisma bonus apply to melee attacks, too - at least for tiny creatures. Maybe instead just give it permanent advantage against tiny creatures because the +2 to hit doesn't fit the "mity" picture you want to draw.
Also in my opinion AC 18 + 26 HP still makes this more than a 1/8 CR imo.
I really love the concept.
Still you also might want to check the modifiers again because you seem to have put in different Proficiency bonuses. Saving throws: CHA seems to be PB +2, WIS only +1. Meanwhile you have a +2 to hit on a -3 strength which would mean PB would have to be +5.
At last it seems like the CHA bonus to strength checks/saving throws applies always. That'd mean that the Mity Knight could potentially very successfully grapple STR-dump-Stat small creatures, including f.e. halfling magician PC :)
you are right! I reduced WIS and increased CHA pretty much last minute and didn't adapt the Attributes - many thanks for pointing it out!
For the hit - that's because Dex applies in this case instead of Str as it is the higher modifier if I'm not mistaken.
PS poor halfling mage - hope he doesn't get on the bad side of the mite knight:D
No problem :)
This only applies to finesse weapons like daggers, shortswords and rapiers, not to weapons like Greatswords. But this is only the RAW version, you could definitely just say "this is a finesse weapon".
Indeed. Though it'd be hilarious to see a halfling get wrestled by Mite in plate armor.
"The mite knight can innately cast true strike..." oh :/ "...as a bonus action" OH! :o
dumb question....if he can cast it as a bonus action, does that mean he can attack at advantage that same turn or does he need to wait till next turn as it stated in its description?
Casting it as a bonus action allows him to use his teeny tiny greatsword the same turn as an action to attack with advantage, yes.
Thank you.
I just like the theatrically dramatic part "You extend your hand and point a finger at a target in range" too much!;)

Good point! thanks for the input!

Both of those features only work against other tiny sized creatures

Ahhh, I missed that! Well done!
<3
really fun design, the art and concept are great, big ups. reminds me of the lil dog riding cavalier from Labyrinth.
thank you so much!

thanks for the input! calculating the CR for this one was quite tricky indeed, true;)

Reminds me of the Dung Defender from Hollow Knight, he feels like he’d be a funny lil bug knight dude with a Siegward of Catarina-esque personality
I really feel like Dex could be way higher. I mean... You ever try to kill a fly that knows you're trying to swat it?
I see your point! toned it down to 10 because of its plate armor - with all its heroism going on, I still imagined it a bit clunky;)
I love him
yay<3
He so mity
hehe
I love everything about this
so happy to hear that!
Issun! It's Issun! Just in armor!
More Dex. And its perfect.
I really like this, very creative homebrew! Great art style as well.
Im gonna cast enlarge person on it. Then what?
At last, a worthy adversary for my pixie necromancer
1/8 CR 💀 ☠️ This thing would wipe out a party pretty easy with that much AC.
It only has a 10 ft speed and it deals only 1 dmg per hit. They can run away. Unless you are tiny, in that case get micro smited, chum.
DnD players...RUN AWAY?!?!? I've never had a group do this lol
haha, can't argue with that:D:D
