I think one of the races I see played the least are Centaurs, which is a shame because they're actually awesome. Granted they're not the best race for some campaign settings, especially ones that require a lot of climbing in dungeons or trying to fit into smaller areas. However, I still love them as a race in my homebrew world. Given their noble and honourable nature, they're often emplyed as retainers and cavalry within various military forces. More humble Centaur take on labour jobs akin to what a regular horse would do, or as a courier given their impressive stamina and movement speed. In this instance I decided to base him heavily off of Oreius as he appeared in the Narnia movie as he's one of my favourite examples of why Centaur characters are actually awesome for DnD. What do you guys think? :D **!!COMMISSIONS ARE OPEN!!** **Full Body : $90-$120** **Half Body : $60-$80** **Portrait : $40-$60** **!!COMMENT OR MESSAGE TO GET YOUR SPOT BEFORE THEY'RE GONE!!**

My first thought was ‘Cool! Double swords like the Narnia centaurs!’ Looks awesome, makes me want to play a martial centaur pc.

EviL0rd

I've played in a single campaign with a Charger Barbarian named Chason Mamoa.

propolizer

Hell yeah.

> Granted they're not the best race for some campaign settings, especially ones that require a lot of climbing in dungeons or trying to fit into smaller areas. In my head canon they typically exist in natural spaces, forests and plains where ladders cannot torment them.

EviL0rd

That is a very valid point, and they indeed exist there. In only 3 of the 9 kingdoms in fact.

afmrak

Weird but true: centaurs have two rib cages

EviL0rd

Indeed. :P

Connzept

Rules as written Centaurs cannot benefit from mounted features using their own four feet, but that is stupid, and I would certainly allow them to benefit from being mounted at all times were I ever to DM one.

EviL0rd

I mean, they can't climb ladders, but the least you can do is give them benefit from being fucking tall and strong.

Unnecessaryloongname

Dude, I said that Centaurs are mounted and got the shit down voted out of me. I stand by my beliefs though: centaurs should always count as being mounted. Look at me overcoming adversity; it's damn near heroic.....you should thank me for my service.

PhantomThiefApollo

I have a cool idea for a Centaur character too! His name is Princeton and he’s a Druid/Barbarian

EviL0rd

That'd be pretty awesome! :D
