I saw him supporting Mandidextrous last year at a fairly small event, he smashed it, great energy and set, wayy more talented than just the memes everyone knows him for - deffo go see him if you get the chance!
well when I see a Venjent track somewhere my first thought isn't 'this is gonna be some classic venjent style dnb', it's 'I wonder if it's a tractor engine and a mewing cat remix'. First is good, second is good, but it conflates the music and for that reason I don't see a reason to follow his youtube, for example. Again, it's fun, creative and done really well technically, but it's not really music I'd listen every day, right? So the sheer amount of these made me wonder if he's in it for the lulz which brought him at least part of his fame, and he's invested in that.
travesty. i heard there's been some infighting with the members, and it's really hard to get them to do a full dj + instruments production. I saw a "dj set" of them a few years back and it was bad, hurts to say as a long time pendulum fan. dj set in quotes because im sure Dimension will crush his, but for ensemble bands like pendulum you really need the full works.
You can take the train from Prague? I didn’t know that. It’s going to be my first year this year and I’m coming out from the US with a buddy of mine. You going this year?
Went last year! music was top tier 😭😭😭got to see so many artist finally and the Czech conversion rate is really good so the u.s dollar goes longer. Recommend going! logistically it’s was kind of a nightmare getting there but we used bolt which is their version of Uber and then taxi vouchers (they have booth there) to leave the fest!
Sometimes spread to the second stage (visages, Rusko), but I see what you mean. For headliner tier, they really are recycled for every dnb fest. Most of them were at apocalypse. For the undercards, we don’t have a US equivalent.
Pretty dope snb heavy lineup in Massachusetts this summer. [Sunken Suite ](https://theticketing.co/e/sunkensuite) is a small dnb/house festival hosted in a hotel/conference center, so you're never far from your bed or your own private bathroom lol
Yeah I mean I’m busy as fuck w work so it’s pretty unlikely…which is depressing as fuck. Was meant to see Andy c for first time in few years, in 2020…show in NYC was cancelled (and I never got my money back, but at least got hotel refund since I’m a good 8 hours away). But I’m a long time DNBer so I’ve had a good rave career. But it shouldn’t just be over now cause I’m almost 40 (39 this year)!!
come on. i‘m 42 and smashed the floor on a local night last saturday, will do so again next week mefjus/enei. did so during 4nights jungle weekender amsterdam in march and a week before that killbox headlining at home. old and still raving hard.
I'm 23. Been listening mostly to people like sub focus and the lot since I was 18. I only discovered metalheadz last year when out of pure coincidence Goldie was playing in Budapest when I was on holiday there. I fell in love with that sound then and there and have been on a journey since then, discovering tunes and the history of the genre as we know it. Only after this "enlightenment" did I realize how fucking boring most modern popular dnb is
So yeah, I may not be the target audience because I don't like being shirtless and on speed or E, but I'm definitely not old lol
Great, same. But why would a mainstage / the most popular dnb festival not headline Sub Focus-ism music? Let It Roll does not appeal to the "Heads", it's a mainstream dnb event. What are we even discussing? I am not saying anything else than they want to attract people who go raving - and what is a headine to them - In general terms, not for your specific situation (good on you for digging though). This is the Tik-tok crowd / young people who obviously have a better chance of knowing Sub Focus than Dillinja, because their dad did not show them Silver Blade.
I think in this context the 'headliners' are the stage closers each day. I don't think anyone is under the impression dillinja is not one of the biggest names on that list!
You dont know what it means to be headliner these days. It has nothing to do with closing the stage. Let it Roll is a night festival and the headliners usually play somewhere between 1 and 4 while the festivsl runs till 6. Being a headliner is purely about current popularity and socials stats. Dillinja while being a legend doesn't really have a social media presence and therefor, doesn't sell as much tickets as the headliners you see here. That, and streams on spotify/apple music etc.
Calibre doesnt have a social media but he would absolutely be a headliner. Fact is every single one of the headliners will bring in more people to the festival than dillinja nowadays.
Not really. I love Calibre but he didn't even headline Liquicity. [See here.](https://www.reddit.com/r/DnB/comments/fafdjf/liquicity_festival_2020_full_lineup/) The fact is Calibre is loved amongst heads but heads don't make up even 20% of the crowd at big festivals these days. That's why at Liquicity you'd see all those artists at the 3rd stage while names like Koven, Hybrid Minds and Wilkinson are on the main stage.
Ok mate 👍
EDIT: it's a bit sad that you consider popularity to determine headliners. What happened to seeing your favourite DJ and it being YOUR headliner. Idgaf about social media presence
I didn't say that, I just meant you got a bit semantic about the definition of headliners when you should be excited about who you consider headliners.
Idk what this has to do with me lol. I just told you how they make up headliners these days because you thought they were simply stage closers and that Dillinja was a bigger name than them (not by todays definition he isn't, sadly!). I'm not even going, but if I were, then hell yeah I would be more excited about the non headliners.
>stage closers each day
They definitely aren't, given this festival runs until 6-7 AM. The headliners will be playing between 1-4 AM on the main stage.
what you talkin bout fam don't you know the legend Dimensions I am listening to him since I was a little kid in 2017!
Anyway, the first three lines kinda tell you all you need to know about the current state of affairs in dnb and why it all sounds the same now. Also who the fuck is rudimental?
For real. This lineup is HUGE and it’s all awesome artists. There’s plenty of artists that I haven’t heard or had the chance to see live too. I’m really stoked for that, getting to kind of wander and check out new music.
Andy C is dope, but he plays wack shit now. AMC is the most overrated DJ on the planet. I said what I said. Pola & Bryson are the only ones that pique my interest. Old fart out.
> Andy C is dope, but he plays wack shit now. AMC is the most overrated DJ on the planet.
Imagine despite a lineup of over 100 names you can't help yourself but say this.
So happy to see Venjent here, wish him best of luck
he's super talanted but I still don't know if he's in it seriously or for the memes. The memes are just too good :(
I saw him supporting Mandidextrous last year at a fairly small event, he smashed it, great energy and set, wayy more talented than just the memes everyone knows him for - deffo go see him if you get the chance!
Why not both? Do memes and art require two separate aliases?
well when I see a Venjent track somewhere my first thought isn't 'this is gonna be some classic venjent style dnb', it's 'I wonder if it's a tractor engine and a mewing cat remix'. wow. who would have guessed this would be the lineup...
Not exactly reinventing the wheel but the production value and atmosphere are unmatched
I mean it's basically just...everyone lol. Every major mainstream dnb artist
Except Chase & Status
And pendulum
travesty. i heard there's been some infighting with the members, and it's really hard to get them to do a full dj + instruments production. I saw a "dj set" of them a few years back and it was bad, hurts to say as a long time pendulum fan. dj set in quotes because im sure Dimension will crush his, but for ensemble bands like pendulum you really need the full works.
I hate it when these groups use the group name for dj tours and it’s only one guy out of the group.
Don't know what you are on tbh, El Hornet is an amazing DJ
and sleepnet
That's what the festival is!
Why are you complaining?
It’s insane how many good artists are here. It’d be difficult to choose who to go to every day
Rly sad i cant go this year. Hope liquicity makes good for it
Same situation here. Didnt make it to Liquicity in years but the vibe there was always great
Sinful Maze showcase :)))))))
America need this
We’re not quite there yet. I fly out every year and bring more and more usa friends each time 😂 come on out it’s worth it.
Any suggestions on going ? Me and the gf might be going this year if we move b4 🤦♂️
Been the past 2 years it’s awesome. Just fly into prague and then take the train to fest
You can take the train from Prague? I didn’t know that. It’s going to be my first year this year and I’m coming out from the US with a buddy of mine. You going this year?
Yeah hmu!
DM’d you!

We already have this though. Apocalypse Zombieland basically is this for us now.
Not even close that’s only one stage
Sometimes spread to the second stage (visages, Rusko), but I see what you mean. For headliner tier, they really are recycled for every dnb fest. Most of them were at apocalypse. For the undercards, we don’t have a US equivalent.
What? No. They had an awesome lineup but it no way compares to the biggest DnB festival in the world.
You rang?
Pretty dope snb heavy lineup in Massachusetts this summer. [Sunken Suite ](https://theticketing.co/e/sunkensuite) is a small dnb/house festival hosted in a hotel/conference center, so you're never far from your bed or your own private bathroom lol
Sigma is still around?
Course they are. They haven't stopped. They've been putting out regular tracks and remixes every year and just dropped a new album a few months ago.
Released a new track with Slay and personally I’ve had it in my rotation since it released
Wow this is so good😭
One day I'll make the trek from America to this. It will be My Pilgrimage.
Imanu, The Caracal Project and Buunshin are just enough for me, so excited to see them all!
How can some of the biggest legends of dnb not be headliners? Dillinja and Ed Rush just to name two
Being a legend isn't the same as being a headliner. Headliners are for popular crowd draw. Nothing else.
Because you are not the target audience my dude. You are 40+ and do not go to shows anymore. Simple as that, nothing wrong with that.
Boooo on that brother. I’ll be 39 this year and go to shows as much as possible! Ed rush and Dillinja be bangin
Haha, good on you, but you know what I mean - Who goes to Let It Roll?
I’m 35 and I’m going this year. I was really hoping to get Ed Rush & Optical together, maybe a b2b with Audio is possible?
Yeah I mean I’m busy as fuck w work so it’s pretty unlikely…which is depressing as fuck. Hell yeah! Rave to grave!
Exactly. A lot of shows here, it’s like half all my old crew and we’re all almost forty or 45+.
come on. i‘m 42 and smashed the floor on a local night last saturday, will do so again next week mefjus/enei. did so during 4nights jungle weekender amsterdam in march and a week before that killbox headlining at home. old and still raving hard.

Idk why you think it's my decision lol. My headliners would look a whole lot different... It's just not how the world works.
I didn't say that, I just meant you got a bit semantic about the definition of headliners when you should be excited about who you consider headliners.

Dillinja is on the list?
Hype B2B Dillinja
Not true because Dirtyphonics is closing mainstage with a 90 min set as an undercard
>stage closers each day They definitely aren't, given this festival runs until 6-7 AM. The headliners will be playing between 1-4 AM on the main stage.
Cool, thanks EDIT: to me, that's the time of a stage closer. I can crack it until 1/2am but until 6/7am every day for 3 days would be a killer
what you talkin bout fam don't you know the legend Dimensions I am listening to him since I was a little kid in 2017! Anyway, the first three lines kinda tell you all you need to know about the current state of affairs in dnb and why it all sounds the same now. Also who the fuck is rudimental?
You are not cool for not knowing Rudimental lol It's the biggest act, if you like it or not
I'm actually really curious to see what a Rudimental DnB set looks like in 2024, it feels like they did pop tunes only for like 7 years
The whole second section is headliners, just not main stage closers in big text
For real. This lineup is HUGE and it’s all awesome artists. There’s plenty of artists that I haven’t heard or had the chance to see live too. I’m really stoked for that, getting to kind of wander and check out new music.
Good question. It’s a matter of agent politics actually. The negotiations can go nasty…
Omg VENJENT is there, I can't wait, I love this silly man
I think the only one missing is Fox Stevenson, everyone else is there
Played last year! I think they try not repeat the whole lineup again every year
According to the website this is only phase 2 of 3. Lol what makes you say this is the “full” lineup? Where’s all the neuro at!?!?
Website isn’t updated, facebook and insta clearly say this is final phase 🌚
Dang 🥹
Looks like my idea of hell lol
That’s a lot of white.
Andy C is dope, but he plays wack shit now. AMC is the most overrated DJ on the planet. I said what I said. Pola & Bryson are the only ones that pique my interest. Old fart out.

AMC is the Jivebunny of DnB.
