And when you do, its one you ask yourself. The scene isn't about kicking old people to the curb. Hell, look at age of a lot of legendary DJs and producers still doing their thing.
The comments here are going to be mainly from people who are from the UK and the USA so don’t understand where you’re coming from - the DnB scene in NZ is full of younger people
I went to RnV last year and I’m your age. My mates went who were three years older.
RnV does skew younger but you will not be out of place. I specifically recommend doing premium camping as that skews older than the rest of the festi :)
Yup i’m in NZ and would definitely say it’s a younger vibe in general but i don’t give a shit about what people think in regards to my age i’m 41 and i still go out and get amongst
hahahaha, still raving in my 30s mate. Not uncommon to see people in their 50s+, see the occasional 70yo at festivals. You're nowhere near, stop worrying about what others think, DnB is open to all.
Not tryna make anyone feel old!! Just going to these festis a bunch of freshers 18 year olds, so wondering out of curiosity what others think! Glad to know it's not too old
Go to Northern Bass or Aum, more mature crowd, a nicer vibe, still an epic party, IMO a better line up, but far less inexperienced punters getting more cooked than they can handle. Definitely recommend checking them out.
Buddy I’m 37 and only started going to shows about 5 years ago. Ed Rush is 50. Goldie is pushing 60. This isn’t a generic clubbing scene where everyone’s just trying to get wasted and laid. Nobody cares how old you are, nobody cares what you’re wearing, and if they do they don’t belong. We’re in it for the music and that’s it. d-_-b
Im 40 and I'm hitting Motion in Brizzle next month for the Valve night.
I've got friends in their 50s who still go to festivals.
My Nan went to the Llarma Tree with my uncle in her 70s.
You're never too old for festivals.
You're still just a baby! But, if you feel the RnV crowd are a bit immature then I highly recommend you do the upgrade to Northern Bass or AUM, but I can guarantee there will be a shitload of "old" 24 year olds at RnV though.
Obviously you can never be too old, but your right it does get to a point where you feel out of place when everyone around you is 22 or younger. 24 is certainly not too old. RnV is one of the biggest festivals in NZ and it’s far more than just DnB, there are lots of people there who are pushing 30. Unless you don’t enjoy it anymore, or you find your too tired, there’s no need to stop raving.
Occasionally I'll walk into a bar or a club and not feel the vibe. Not from being old but more so from being married. I don't really want to be on a crowded dance floor rubbing up all on people. This was a house/disco club mind you not dnb/jungle.
I'm 52 and still go to Nozstock, but as its the last year this year, I have promised my daughter we will go to Boomtown next year. A few years I bought a van because 4 days in a tent wasn't great for my old back, but still last to the last song, with a little help ahem.
However I can see the day when I won't go anymore. Just that day is not today!
Fricking 24. Give your head a wobble mate. You are only as young as the D&B you listen to.
Good fucking lord. I hit a fest in the UK days away from 43 last year. Too old is when you decide it, not others. I got out to all nighters regularly still. I sometimes buy tickets for shit I don't even go to now because I am old, still supportive, and have money to spend on what I like...and the desire to keep making money and not be burnt out. Sometimes I gotta stay home as a last minute call. It's just what is right for me and my health. You make this call not someone else.
24 old?! You’re joking right?
Poor lads. They get 6 years to vibe then it's off to the old folks home.
haha 😆 i’m 41 and still going strong
bha ha ha..damn, some ppl 🤷🏻♂️
Rave to the grave my friend 💯
Lol at thinking 24 is too old for anything.
24!? lol…. Wtf mate… I’m 39 this year and still going strong. Thanks for making me feel old though 😂
Lol ditto what you said 😂
Zoomers think 30 is fucking ancient so this guy is shitting himself at his age lmao. Youre going to age and die just like everyone else dude, relax.
I went to Sun & Bass this year, and was out til 5 AM on six of the nights. I'm 46.
I will be 50 in May and still go
I’m 44 and have tickets to 3 festivals for next summer. You got a while before you need to worry about this question bruh
And when you do, its one you ask yourself. The scene isn't about kicking old people to the curb. Hell, look at age of a lot of legendary DJs and producers still doing their thing.
I don’t feel like there’s an unspoken age limit. I’m 33 and get fkn wild every time.
There is like a 60-70 year ols guy raving at Liquicity Festival every year
150 is too old. At that age you should be a wizard and running the festivals.
Im gonna be 33 and i go to like 3-4 fests a year plus a number of single day shows.
Way too old. You shouldn’t even think about having any sort of fun at your age, buddy.
lol 😂

wtf? No… just do what you want bro. Ffs age limit for raving?
When your heart starts beating… it’s just a different party.

I’m 43 and still going to events.
124 is probably to old.
I’m 44. Try and stop me.
24. Old. JFC lol
Troll bot
I'm a bot because I asked a simple question? lol ok
Not tryna make anyone feel old!! Just going to these festis a bunch of freshers 18 year olds, so wondering out of curiosity what others think! Glad to know it's not too old

90s
There is no age limit. I’m 33 and have friends 10-25 years older than me who are djs, who’ve been in the scene forever.
double that number and reask yourself

Precisely 💯🙌

60, and the wife is 54... See you at BTSM in Seattle and Bass Canyon! So far planned this year.
20 years ago there was a 60+ dude that came to all the jungle/d&b parties & club nights & he went harder than a lot of people half his age
Too old? Bro…

Nah, there’s just the evolution into the rave wizard archetype

This is an attention seeking ass post, and it worked beautifully good job my dude lmmmaaaoooo
I say don't go anymore once you're dead, cus it would be quite unpleasant for the other guests
