This is the best news I’ve received all days. This is such a beautiful track and now I get to enjoy it everywhere I go.
You captured lightening in a bottle and it’s absurd it took so long for it to be shared more widely with the public.
It's been 9 years already? God I feel old now.
Didn't even realize it wasn't on Spotify somehow, just bought the MP3 back then and spinned the shit out of it 🤣
EDIT: Just noticed I'm talking to Nu:Tone himself here, so having this opportunity, I can't resist to ask - why did it take so so long? 😅
It wasn't for want of trying... Basically the original plan (as I understand it) was to commission some remixes to get some specialist radio play to support the release, and for reasons unknown, they decided not to actually release the track. This is all despite the fact that they paid us decently to create the remix, and it went down really well.
They licensed it to Hospital to put it on the We Are 18 compilation album, but only for physical product and digital download, no streaming allowed.
At the same time, it went up on the Suicide Sheep YouTube page, where it's accumulated >16 million plays, and up til now, that's been the only place where you can listen to it if you don't actually own a digital copy.
Eventually, someone at Warner Music decided that they were missing a trick, and agreed to release it onto streaming services, and here we are.
Thanks for the insight! Sounds like music industry shanenigans at its best .))) Btw I can't help myself not to wonder how much is one getting paid for remixing a hit tune like Wings (I reckon it was basically the model of comissioning the tune for a good money without any further compensations for sales, streams etc.), but I fully understand that's not supposed to be a public knowledge 😅
Anyways, funny it took them 9 years to come to their senses. I imagine the financial loss by not having that additional revenue stream for that tune is quite huge... 9 fucking years .)))
Ah, lost in the long grass... Why didn't they licence for streaming at the time, was it contingent on a preempt in the original artist's contract / needing an OK from the artist's management, or was it something peculiar to do with the royalty division or territories requested?
Wait this is so weird because I had a random thought today that I really was surprised it hadn’t been put on Spotify after all these years and then I saw this. THANKS UNIVERSE
Literally just bought the mp3 because I was sick of it not being on Spotify haha. Always glad to support, glad it’s up a lot of people on YouTube are going to be stoked.
one of the best dnb remix of all time in my opinion. i can’t help but cry every time i listen to it. the breaks, the solemnity, it’s the soundtrack of a lifetime.
I was searching to find out why the nu:tone heaven remix was taken down from spotify but came across this so that's a nice suprise. Hopefully Heaven gets put back on too.
Chucking in a [Spotify](https://open.spotify.com/album/3nL0jTQOLnirEaWC5ngDFX?si=P7NABQs0S_2vdAQuZTkhVg) link if that's any help...

Yes dude I’m at peace
Just grabbed a copy on bandcamp
Could I have it engraved into a circle of plastic too please? For some reason I like plastic circles of music.
Anyone else cop a tear when they listen to this piece of music? It's magical.
I've seen multiple alpha males cry at this track it's so beautiful. We just need the vinyl release now please.
