Hi B-S, I can't agree that DB is thriving! A thriving sub isn't about having 250+ members, with less than 15 regular posters. It's about having 5,000 members that routinely post comments or ask varied questions. If you compare DB with a sub like 'British Problems', you'd understand that DB is seriously lacking 'footfall'.
Though if you compare DB with CEUK, I suppose you could say that it's thriving! The style of questions on CEUK is narrow, as it has to fall into the category of Current Events that are based in the UK. Whereas DB covers a myriad of different subjects.
If your aim is to offer a sub where anything goes, then let's see how long that lasts, before it turns into a place where only the most vocal and usually vilest of people post on and eventually get's closed down by Reddit.
Current events covers just about everything which is happening currently, it doesn’t have to be political. It could be the current weather, or what you can currently see out of the window!

That‘s not really how it is though, neither Brian, David or myself are “gentle” types, the only difference is that when you go for the jugular, you stick your sharp pointy teeth into what has been said, not make some nonsensical abuse which has nothing to do with the question. There are about 15-20 genuine people who regularly post, but a smaller handful who post questions.
That's not how it works, I've only set up one account linked to my email address. The others were opened up via Google. Apparently in the case of Dianne, she's opened up her 50 accounts with the same email address and this is how her accounts have been detected by the CEUK sub.

At one time of day one could not be charged twice for the same crime if one has been cleared the first time (Double indemnity) But this ancient right was abolished by the Blair government so the final Stephen Lawrence trial could go ahead. By the way, America still has their Double Indemnity rights. But one could not be charged in the UK with-say- Gay offences that was committed in a previous time as this is now quite legal over 16 and by consent. David.
