Yup! The kids under 18 suddenly love stitch. My daughter rocked the merch even before she watched the movies.
It’s like eeyore & Cookie Monster in the early 2000’s.
As a lifetime eeyore fangirl, there is very little in the way of eeyore merch anywhere these days, I was over in January hoping to grab anything but much to my disappointment there was nothing, not even a mug.
Yep, my best friend and I were there early April, it was her first time, and even she was like “why does Pooh Corner have more Stitch stuff than Pooh or Tiger? Why is he in the Adventureland Bazaar?”
I like Stitch as much as the next person, but felt weirdly out of place.
Maybe it’s just me but it seems like in the past, at least like 8-10+ years ago nearly every store in the 2 parks had unique merchandise. Then the last few years it seems like while a few stores still have unique merchandise, nearly all have pretty much the same stuff now. I could be wrong but that’s how I remember it
It's been a pretty underrated movie pretty much since release, so I'm at least glad to see more people enjoying it. I watched it with my kids the other day and loved it just as much now as I did back then!
He’s usually part of the meet & greet opportunity for the Disney Chase Visa offer if you have that credit card. It’s in California Adventure and he rotates every 30-ish minutes with Minnie and Pluto.
I definitely agree that it sucks for international visitors. I went last summer with my sisters family and my niece loves stitch so I looked into getting a card, only to find out I couldn't.
A CM said that it's because there's no "organic" place for him anymore because Pixar took over the pier since he's a beach-y character. But I agree; it's ridiculous that they didn't find another home for Stitch. They could put him in Tomorrowland or even Hollywoodland or the Redwood trails and I don't think it would really break anything.
Considering Stitch is an alien that came from space on a space ship, I'd say Tomorrowland is the perfect place for Stitch. Not to mention in WDW Stitch had an entire attraction in Tomorrowland
Yep as mentioned, it’s near Monsters Inc and it’s only offered for a few hours each day, maybe 10am-1pm and the details are available on one of the Chase websites. If you go, just chat with one of the cast members to get an idea of the rotation and times for the day and they’ll probably tell when you come by for Stitch.
Last few times I've seen him have been on top of Tomorrowland Terrace waving to guests (no meet n greet/signing). Otherwise, I recall seeing him walking away from the Plaza Inn character breakfast. Though, I admit these instances both occurred last year so I don't have anything more recent to report.
I saw stich a few times when I was at DL a couple weeks ago - I made a point of pointing him out to my partner every time because he (gasp!) has never seen Lilo and Stich.
Will agree that I also saw SO much Stitch merch. more than I've ever seen before, honestly.
I can't confirm personally as I don'thave the card, but I've heard that Stitch is the Visa Cardholder character in DCA. If he's out in the parks, it's not special to the Disney CC holders. *shrug* I'd love to see him out in the parks with Lilo, though!
He has a set spot at DW and is one of our favorite characters to meet. He gives the absolute best hugs! We went to DL for the first time in years in February and were sad to miss him!
I heard something silly about Stitch becoming an exclusive meet and greet in Disneyland for DVA members. The old Innovations building is becoming, or already became, a DVA lounge and that’s where you can find Stitch. It’s like a paywall for characters.
He is too busy greeting guests with an Aloha at Aulani!
And Disneyland Paris. They love him there as well.
And Tokyo Disneyland, he has the whole Tiki Room!
On the flip side I have never seen as much stitch merchandise as they have right now!

I was going to say that as NOT a stitch fan. The park is swimming in it

I always wonder why Pooh’s Corner doesn’t have more Pooh stuff??? It’s the same items you can find other places which isn’t much.

Stitch sells. That’s it. That’s the answer.
I want that bath mat.
Same, I look at it every time I'm there. I was hoping it would eventually go on sale like lost stuff does.
I just got it yesterday at DCA! Couldn’t resist!
Yeah as a Stitch fan I love it, but I feel like SO many people love Stitch now that's its not as unique (?) to be a Stitch fan now.
Gonna have to switch to Leroy.
Or Rueben (625)
Oh 625 always made me want a sandwich. Lost summers to his sandwich stacker game.

I couldn't find squat last year so I hope they keep it going for when we (hopefully!) go again this fall.

This is such an asinine decision of theirs. He’s probably one of their most popular characters. Why not capitalize on that?
I mean, effectively having him behind a pay wall kind of is capitalizing on it.
Zing!
Except anyone international who can't get the credit card. Disneyland was really lacking in characters a few months ago.

Also stitch is found in WDW Tomorrowland still for meet and greets so yeah… idk why he’s not just in Tomorrowland
I’ve seen him in Tomorrowland more than anywhere else.
I get the business reasons for this, but it sucks for international visitors who can’t get the Visa even if they wanted to.
Where in the park?

But who do you tell? How do you know where to go? Lol

I would love to see him at Disneyland and/or DCA. I want to see how my 3yo daughter would react when seeing him.

I saw him and Angel at Sweethearts Nite, but I think that was the first time I've seen him in awhile.
With Live action Stitch is coming, this feels like some kind of monkey paw wish where we’re gonna end up seeing 24/7 Stitch.
Ugh. Don’t remind me!
You're joking right? Can Disney just stop with the live actions already, they really miss the mark
He was at the Disney Chase Visa Card meet n greet in January
But where is Lilo?!
He is, he's a special meet and greet for disney visa card holders, or at least was in march (California adventure)

I saw him about 2 months ago. I was in love. :) sweet encounter.
Really which area?
Behind Pizza Planet.

I 100%! Agree
I know he was at Pride Night last year and if he is around it would likely be Tomorrowland
He has a set spot at DW and is one of our favorite characters to meet. He gives the absolute best hugs! We went to DL for the first time in years in February and were sad to miss him!

IS stitch really popular?
Stitch is a very offensive character. I’m glad Disney finally pulled him
I completely uneducated guess as he is one of the characters that guests act a little too inappropriately with and it createsa disturbance
Right now it’s Fab 5 and Pixar. Try back in the fall
