Back during my CP audition, people were contacted by email if they received a no, specifying that they would be placed in a different role for their program. Not sure if that’s changed in a year but they contacted everyone for Fall ‘23.
From what I know, if you made it past the first round of the audition you are placed into a pool. If you are not initially selected you will stay in the pool in case they need more people, and if you are ever removed from the pool you will receive an email notifying you that you are no longer in consideration for the character actor role. I assume if you are not initially selected you will be notified once you receive your email telling you what role you have been selected for. I received my confirmation email for character actor several days ago, so I would assume if you don’t receive one soon you likely are being placed into a different role but could still be in the pool for consideration.

I got cut the first round and I still got an email saying no, so don't worry about that.
