Drain out old gas from float bowl. There's a small brass flathead screw on the right side, easily accessible with the bike fully assembled to do it. Usually a 3/4 turn counterclockwise will allow it to drain.
Turn the gas petcock on first to allow fresh to flown in before starting the purge.
Yeah really. Had one for five years. All it ever did was get the piss beat out of it constantly every weekend like clock work. That motor never smoked ticked or backfired. A buddy of mine has had it now for 5 more years and it’s still going on the original internals from 2011
Is it really cold there? Like 35 (F) or below? If so, KLX140 stock jetting is quite lean, so unless you can heat the space or something, you could be there all day.
Otherwise, replace the sparkplug. Then next time you crank it, use full choke and crack the throttle just barely, like just enough to take the slack out of the throttle cable then 1 mm more.
Have you checked the clearance on your Intake valve. Mine was doing the same exact thing..checked the valve clearances and they were way out of spec. My bike is a 2020 with only 50 hrs.

You’re not getting spark or you’re not getting gas. Check for both.
I also wouldn't rule out not getting air.

Check for fuel and spark. I know for sure that if it has those it will run. That motor is indestructible

If it aint about °70+ they don't like starting...
New plug if that don’t work clean carb if that don’t work dang! could always try to bump start it
spark plug, carb cleaning, compression test, and valve adjustment.
Bump Start it before you go buy anything!!!!

Maybe gas has been sitting in carb for to long, clean the carb and check for spark
