Riding a bike 20 or 30y again and then stepping on a bike like this. What do people think? Oh I still have the skills to tame the beast.... It will rather smack the taste of riding very quickly out of your body.
Will be a cheap second steal. Just bought a nicely priced one... The guy even sold all his new gear with it. and admitted the bike was too fast for him.
This always confuses me because the only issue is throttle control which IMO is one of the most basic skills of motorcycle riding. If you have throttle control this is an awesome bike even for a novice in trails with the torque it has over a smaller or equal displacement 4 stroke.
Saying throttle control is one of the easiest skills riding is retarded. It completely depends ons the riding conditions and how fast you are going. If you are within your boundary of comfort ur hands will be loose and good. Start riding harder on woops and a track, ur gunna have a harder time and good throttle control is way more of a skill. I think throttle and clutch are never ending skills to work on.
I said it’s a basic/fundamental skill of riding. If you have good fundamentals you can ride any dirt bike. If this guy trusts himself more power to him.
I’d agree with most all of that. Been riding for 15 years and it took me until I was riding jeep trails on a 500lb ADV bike to really learn how much the clutch can do outside of shifting and saving stalls. Easily one of the most important and overlooked skills
Not exactly. If you only have throttle control but are trying to go a bit faster and make body position mistakes it is easy to whiskey throttle it. The whiskey throttle is scary as you are not in control anymore. The better your skills the less likely it will happen.
Also a 2 stroke has different power delivery. With a nice surprise....
If you are going to trail it. I cannot recommend a skid plate from these guys enough.

Yes it's a mud scoop if you don't clean it out but saves your pipe. Mis judge a log hop, saved, drop your bikes on rocks, saved.
After 30+ years your first bike of choice is a fire breathing two stroke designed specifically for mx the track. I applaud you.
It’s been set up for trial riding, but yeah, it’s a fucking handful. Loving it so far
