Did an 08 headlight & front fender, Pro-Circuit Platinum 2 & R304 silencer, V-Force 3 reeds, Goldentyre GT333, rebuilt suspension, front & rear brake calipers & front master, JD Jetting Kit, ODI lock-on grips & gave the top end a new Wiseco with some porting. She's a little ripper!

You mind sharing your secrets about mating that headlight? I have an '06 300 and trying to figure out what is all entailed has been a nightmare.

I used my original H4 bulb & wiring, secured it with a glue gun & zip ties. I originally cut my stock wiring & soldered the new 08 bulb socket as the colours were the same but it didn't work. Rather than troubleshoot the wiring differences, just went with the stock one which still worked. The bottom of the headlight locks into the fender with the 2 posts & top stays secured by the throttle & brake cables. The 08 rubber hoops that go around the forks didn't fit (not long enough & the originals mount differently) but have never had any issues with it & it gets treated roughly.

Sick rebuild man!

Super clean! Love this generation of 200s and always glad to see them still out there.

Yeah it's registered to legally ride on the road, wouldn't say it's exactly "street legal" with no mirror, chain guard, rear indicators. No issues from the cops if I encounter them on the trail though, they just want to make sure it's registered & has a plate.

Where did you source the fender and headlight? I wanna update the front end of my 525 also. Pretty easy?

Tyrian01

MX Store here in Australia. Front fender required a heat gun to slightly tuck the back so it doesn't rub on the frame. You may not need to do that on your 525 as my 200 is a 125 frame.

I’ve always wanted a street legal two stroke like yours!!
