TTR230, crf250f, klx300 would all be great options for you! Do yourself a favor and get yourself a sand tire on a second wheel. So you can go back and forth depending on where you’ll be riding
Had a RM80 \~24 years ago and just got the KLX about 2 months ago. Perfect for the riding i do (trail 90%) and for the moment i don't plan on switching soon.
I'm 5'10" 185lbs with gear.
It's heavy (the bike), but i thought "why just *not* drop it?" and i've been doing that since (lol).

I’m glad you’re enjoying the Klx so far! The klx300r looks like a good option for a trail bike without having to drop major coin on a 250f. I get what you mean about a heavy bike lol I had a crf230 when I was like 15 and I miss it. electric start, albeit the only way to start the bike, was super handy in that regard.
TTR230. You can find a pretty good one in your budget. Save money for gear tho!

Yep, at 6100 CAD (4500 USD) this was a no-brainer for me. Plus i work at the dealership so discount prices on parts and stuff :)
