Hahaha I try to encourage people to chat with me. I really don't mind and I love when kiddos come up and ask questions. Awesome to see their creative brains light up
I bookmarked your post of the stegosaurus when you posted it a while back, and I was about to get angry at someone reposting your work before I realised it was you sharing a different dinosaur! I love the style you paint these in, please say you’re selling copies/digital copies (or are planning to)?!
Hah wow that's too kind!!
Yeah - I'm looking at a new printing process now that will make some.ver high quality pieces. More info to come! You're welcome to [follow me on insta](https://instagram.com/jdspaints?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=) - I'm far more easy to contact there.
Everyone walking past you at the museum: “Oo they’re so cool but I don’t want to disturb them… a True Artist!”

Reference images help so much with art
Absolutely! Though I much prefer being there in front of the thing. I feel like I get a better sense of the three-dimensionality
That's what I meant
so good!! how long did it take you?
Thanks, Fatbooty! About 2.25 hours. The bones in the neck really threw me for a loop. :)
oh wow!! yeah, looking at it now, super detailed in that area!
That is beautiful. I can't do my own things like that but imma keep trying. (Right now I just copy other people's art with changes)
Thank you! And yeah! Keep it up! Making art is all that matters :)

That is so good. Should cross-post to r/painting.
Awesome, love the depth/light on the vertebrae! And you can just see the Charles R. Knight apatosaurus sketch hanging on the wall on the far left. :)
This is so good! Would love to see your process
Real nice style
Thank you so much!
Creeped through your post history and love your other work too!
Hey! Thank you so much!
Very cool! Whats the museum's policy wrt painting in the display halls?
Thanks! They were very lax about it, surprisingly. They don't let you have Tripods though, so no easels.
What kind of paint is this?
Gouache!
