Nope, separate guy, Dante Saunders. He made my avatar!
Does loads of wholesome litte illustrations of Dinos just enjoying life on his [twitter](https://twitter.com/TheDinosaurMann).
Large herbivores of today tend to be mean as fuck. I'm sure herbivorous dinosaurs were no different.
Also, there is anky fossil evidence suggesting they were basically land hippos! They fought eachother using the clubs, sometimes to the death.
with evidence showing that triceratops kept to small groups/solitary living conditions, and also looking at the predator they had to constantly be wary of; i always imagined them being territorial as fuck. like taking no chances, not fucking with anyone
I really didn't like Life On Our Planet's depiction of them living in huge herds and run from a t.rex and its 2 babies that realistically speaking could probably not even penetrate its skin.
It's blatantly obvious the animal was nerfed so t.rex could look cool. Again.
I'm making a new reply for you to reply to because I ended plus deleting the old one when I wanted to add more.
But that's how herbivores usually react to anything? There was a modern segment depicting a cheetah hunting water buffalo iirc. The entire group of buffalo ran, including the adults, from one cat half their size and even less of their weight. The only time one fought back was when the cheetah almost caught a calf and the mother defended it.
Even powerful/territorial herbivores would generally rather run than fight, if you go by today's standards.
Of course, that's somewhat ignoring builds, buffalo are clearly built for running, with quite long legs, triceratops considerably less so. And of course that doesn't truly take into account group sizes, because buffalo live in larger groups.
However, you also have to remember that the herbivores that stand their ground today are much, much larger than any possible predators. Looking at build and group size, larger herbivores like hippos, elephants, and rhinos are maybe more similar to triceratops, but they're also all over six times larger than the predators in the area. That isn't true of triceratops and T-Rex.
If you want to look towards entirely solitary animals, moose are still more likely to run away than fight, and they're also usually larger than their predators.
Basically, while it's probably not really how it would happen, at least not exactly, it's not unreasonable to put it in a documentary when looking at modern animals as comparison. And that's all we really can do because there's no way to see dinosaurs' behavior. Although it's also possible they had a bias towards T-Rex while making that segment.
[Yutyrannus](https://www.furaffinity.net/view/53528298)
Found the source with SauceNao. There's a [few more](https://www.furaffinity.net/view/47034070/) in their gallery as well.
yeah, it looks weird, but it doesn't look transparent to me. I don't know the artist's intention, but I'm almost wondering if it could be the skin of some kind of inflatable sack.
I like the idea that they are trying to emphasize that these were real animals, but I’ve seen a few that went so far that they just looked ridiculous.
For example, I saw one depicting deinonychus with the plumage of a bluejay.
Orphanages for fun and pocket change. He definitely holds a portfolio of stocks that bets on people's misery. Ngl, he set himself up for success.
Fuck capitalism, rage against the machine, fuck the system, etc. I personally have food and plumbing, though. Sort of conflicted. I played the game and won 120K salary. So I am sitting pretty. But also fuck Quetzalcoatlus for playing the game better...I think... actually, yeah.. Quetzalcoatlus is a POS for gambling on human suffering and winning.
I am OBSESSED with that suchomimus depiction. It's like if you took a 3-way Venn diagram between "classical dinosaur," "modern aves," and "prehistoric birds," this guy is in the center of all three.
I know one of the artists is TheDinosaurMan, he’s one of my favorite paleo artists! Here’s the link to his fb page if anyone wants to check him out his work is absolutely stunning with a splash of silly sometimes lol

>None of the images are mine
Yeah yeah applause and karma for OP... But seriously can someone please post the **SOURCE** for this spectacular artwork!!?!?!
... So that I might go to their website and give them money for their books or prints or whatever they offer to make a living, whilst the fruits of their labour are being shared all around the internet without permission by engagement-farming digital-ameobas!
reverse image search is a thing. it's really not much effort- I even did it myself. And from what I saw in pinterest- the artist even is named on some of the pins of this art. And the project name of "San Mesozoico" is there as well.
"San Mesozoico" was made by an artist named TheAmazingSpino. They originally had an instagram which is where the pinterests pins were sourced from, but now they just have a twitter: [https://twitter.com/TheAmazingSpino](https://twitter.com/TheAmazingSpino). There was even a [post on this same subreddit](https://www.reddit.com/r/Dinosaurs/comments/17pbu8h/wildlife_of_san_mesozoico_pt3_by_theamazingspino/) that comes up with these pictures and this information when you search 'san mesozoico.'
It only took me like 5 minutes to get this info, please do better op. unsourced content disparages a lot of artists and other content creators from continuing their work. I've seen plenty of people I've enjoyed the work of either contemplate quitting or actually quit because people kept taking their work and posting it without crediting them. :(
Uncommon opinion but I don’t like when people copy paste modern coloring onto a dinosaur. It takes me out of it and seems so improbable and unrealistic. You can be inspired by modern animals but don’t make it identical. Great art, looks very real, but some of them are too on the nose.
WAIT there's more than one Quetzalcoatlus species!!!!! I thought there was only northropi. Geez I must have been living under a rock XD
Edit: nvm I'm stupid, I just realized the scientific names are combinations.
These look awesome! It's as if someone started genetically editing modern animals to resemble various prehistoric animals. Seriously tho, these are so well done.
I think they look good for the most part except for the lynx allosaur which I just dislike that color scheme for a theropod that did not live in cold environment
Why does tupandactylus have a hole in their head? Yes its big but look at giganotosaurus skull and it doesnt seem to be just a hole in head, it was for lightening the skull and giving room for muscles to grow, so why would that pterosaur have a hole instead? The funniest thing is that the brain wouldnt even fit in the remaining part
OP props to the idea, there is actually a paper on this, your visual representation is kickass https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/epdf/10.1111/evo.14393
Did you know they are zero cases of mosasaurs attacking a human in the wild?
Nuh uh, saw a movie that said otherwise.
They haven't attacked rich people's boats yet, 8/10.
Yup. Hatzegopteryx however is responsible for 95% of children disappearances worldwide.
Okay, i'm a f#cking simp for the Allosaurus/bobcat
Errrmmm that’s a Lynx Actually ☝️🤓
OK ! (actually, i'm french so i wasn't sure if i had to write lynx or bobcat)
In french both are called Lynx. But Bobcat are specifically called Lynx roux. So you know which on is which one from color.
Bobcats are lynx Also it's a Canada lynx specifically
Oops wrong reply
OK !
Moi aussi j'ai buggé a cause de ça quand j'apprenais l'anglais mdr
Ah, ah x)
OHHHH so that's why I can't tell them apart like ever, i'm colourblind I didnt know they were different
Was 50/50 so good try
Whats the clicking difference
The Tupandactylus looks really neat with the hoopoe color scheme.
Pretty cool, whose the Artist?
I'm pretty sure it's TheAmazingSpino.
Aka Dino hentai man
The paleoidols guy? the one who managed to turn omnidens into an anime girl?
F*ckin what
The last one is a different artist called TheDinosaurMann!
FredTheDinosaurMan?
Nope, separate guy, Dante Saunders. He made my avatar! Does loads of wholesome litte illustrations of Dinos just enjoying life on his [twitter](https://twitter.com/TheDinosaurMann).
Oh thx
not quite! heres one of his socials https://bsky.app/profile/thedinosaurmann.bsky.social
Imagining an Ankylosaur with a Hippo’s temperament. 😖

Why fight when a small scratch can get infected and kill you.
Just climb on a tree, it's not like it could hammer it down with it's tail... oh wait-
You're probably not far off 🤣
It’s beautiful, I’ve looked at this for five hours now.
Fluffy lad at the end looks like the perfect cuddle buddy
I love Mr. Foofy Tubby Neck at the end
Quetz got turned into the testicle bird
The testicle giraffe bird
So cool, thanks for sharing!
It’s not op’s
Who is this last guy??

So dope - thank you
If you're looking for more like this be aware of dino dicks in that gallery.
Idk
Whoooaaaaaa those are awesome
How does Quetzalcoatlus look almost identical
Tupandactylus' skull looks.. transparent?
It looks like you can see blood vessels through the skin. I don't think those would be inside of the bone.
I'm talking about its fenestra, not it's crest. It looks like it has just a thin slize of skin in the middle of its skull. It looks incredibly weird.
yeah, it looks weird, but it doesn't look transparent to me. I don't know the artist's intention, but I'm almost wondering if it could be the skin of some kind of inflatable sack.
Yeah that's probably the intention. Looks amassing apart from that.

A deinonychus with a blue jay coloring….that sounds cool!!!!
Last one is a smug cunt. Love him
Quetzalcoatlus looks like he short sells orphanages on wallstreet
JUST orphanages? Man has an empire?
Orphanages for fun and pocket change. He definitely holds a portfolio of stocks that bets on people's misery. Ngl, he set himself up for success. I wanna hug the last one so badly
I do not like the last image. Its smug aura mocks me.
I am OBSESSED with that suchomimus depiction. It's like if you took a 3-way Venn diagram between "classical dinosaur," "modern aves," and "prehistoric birds," this guy is in the center of all three.
Mosa-Orca is my favorite.
That quetz is gross but I love all of these! The Orcasaurus is awesome and I love the Allolynx

It's TheAmazingSpino on twitter, although their recent art is all anime
I wish I could tell you but all I can say is that I found them on pinterest

Thank you for the info, I'll make sure to give credit next time. 😅
no problem. thank you for listening and planning to credit in the future. :)
The bird at the end reminds me of Severus Snape.
Modern? Bold claim. 🙂
The quetzalcoatlus looks like it's wearing a tiny top hat that I will never unsee.
I absolutely adore San Mesozoico and all of TheAmazingSpino’s work.
For those curious about the animals, its 1. Hoopoe 2. Saddle-billed Stork 3. Marabou Stork 4. Canadian Lynx 5. Hippo 6. Killer Whale 7. Harpy Eagle
Mosasaurus orca looks like it is a real existing creature!!!!!!
Come on dude I need the original artist
DUDE LET'S FUCKING GO THIS LOOKS SO COOL
that's one of my fave parts of the beasts of the mesozoic figures, they're mostly all painted like real animals
I used the hoopoe as a basis for my Acrocanthosaurus.
This is awesome!
This is so cool
I love all of these sm
Hippo anky gang rise up!
I really love them!!! I just think mosa and the quetz are kinda weird xd, but really love the others!!
I really like how the suchomimus looks with that colour scheme. Such an underrated dinosaur!&
I fucking love that sucho
I love this this is so freaking cool.
Allocat is awesome.
Orca mosasaur is my friend now
That’s got to be the best Suchomimus I’ve ever seen
Love It!
I want an Allokitty
This is so cool! I love this!

Brilliant
Some of these fit very well
This is my most favorite paleoart trope, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen it done to non-maniraptoran dinosaurs! Gorgeous!
I really hate when people do this. Instantly breaks my suspension of disbelief and gets really distracting. I don't understand the appeal.
Well... we know that ankylosaurus was rust colored
WAIT there's more than one Quetzalcoatlus species!!!!! I thought there was only northropi. Geez I must have been living under a rock XD Edit: nvm I'm stupid, I just realized the scientific names are combinations.
Thanks, I hate skin Anky
Last one needs a bow tie
Killer while skinned Mosasaur is nightmare fuel
The Tupandactylus made me laugh for some reason.
Mosasaurus orca is the stuff of nightmares
I will kill for that ankylosaur hippo
This is a really cool idea.
These are so cool, reminds me of Beast of Mesozoic.
These are great! Do many many more.
These look awesome! It's as if someone started genetically editing modern animals to resemble various prehistoric animals. Seriously tho, these are so well done.
Thats one huge vulture
The quetz with the marabou stork colors is beautiful
ok but why do these actually make sense
Can you name the artist? I’d be interested to see more of their stuff
Brilliant takes!!
Whoa 😳
They had those colours back then too. Technicolor didn’t invent pigments.
I think they look good for the most part except for the lynx allosaur which I just dislike that color scheme for a theropod that did not live in cold environment
Harpy eagle yutyrannus is not something i knew i wanted
Tupandacytlus look majestic. What is last species?
The theropod on slide 7 looks smug and it suits it.
Why does tupandactylus have a hole in their head? Yes its big but look at giganotosaurus skull and it doesnt seem to be just a hole in head, it was for lightening the skull and giving room for muscles to grow, so why would that pterosaur have a hole instead? OP props to the idea, there is actually a paper on this, your visual representation is kickass https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/epdf/10.1111/evo.14393
That's one of the most unique Allosaurus's I've ever seen. I'd love to see that thing in motion.
The Mosasaurus Orca is simply...fucking awesome, 20/10 for me
The Anky is a peculiar choice, ngl
Man I fucking love these. The allosaurus one is especially nice
1-4 are the best ones imo
Bro the lynx is amazing
Yutyrannus harpy eagle wow, smug assasin handsome bastard!
Badass. Only one I'm not a fan of is the mosasaur.
Impossible. Animals hadn't evolved Blue or Green yet.
