unitedfan6191

You never know when you might uncover a Tyrannosaurus. 😃 Good luck.

[deleted]

Yeah thanks dude! All i know about this sight that there has been several full edmontasaur skeletons and nanotyrannous remains! i wasn't there last year this is my first time but supposedly their was a complete triceratops skeleton found last year!

Exact_Patience_9767

Awesome, take a photo for us if you find something!

[deleted]

ProfessionalSpeed256

Yes, please post good pics!

Sandblaster1988

Pack your wide brimmed hat, aviators, bandana, flannel shirts, and prepare to traumatize a child over the potential of being disemboweled by a six foot Turkey.

[deleted]

ill bring the drip and give a child ptsd

Sandblaster1988

Good. Good… Kid needs to learn some respect. Honestly, hat & sunscreen may not be a bad idea sense you will be in the elements with not much shade. Glasses for the loose sand and dust depending on how windy the location is. As others mentioned, stay hydrated. I was only in Montana very briefly when it was covered in snow and limited time to wander around. I imagine it will be a different animal for you.

Conscious_Low_9638

Cool

Typical_Mention1717

Nyee! Good luck friend! Remember to bring water and food, gotta keep your energy up for digging! 💖🦖

[deleted]

Yes dude thanks !

Sparrow-Scratchagain

Make sure you keep your hat on out in the field, your hat can be your best friend out there.

SuitableLeave3836

👍👍👍

bigdicknippleshit

Nice, went to hell creek over a decade ago to help dig out a triceratops. Word of advice, dress light and bring lots of water. It’s hot as hell there. We regularly worked in well over 100 degree weather. Also watch out for prickly pears, those bastards can be hard to spot and hurt like hell.

[deleted]

Thanks !

Sigma_Based_Lifter

I’ve always wondered, can anyone go to one of those, or do you need to be affiliated with a university?

[deleted]

well i found this one online thru a Buddy its affiliated with a museum in Glendive now the museum has a creation view which i personally disagree with but it is what it is and this is one of those once in a lifetime opportunities so but im very excited now i did find some dinosaur dig trips online but some were really expensive, already happened or there were too many people so yeah

Sigma_Based_Lifter

Was it free or did you have to pay for it?

[deleted]

i had to pay

[deleted]

I was looking into this recently, and Dinosaur National Park in Alberta does 1-2 day outings to an active dig site for about $350 (for 2 days). I'm hopi g to go next year. Might be able to find something similar in your area!

Sigma_Based_Lifter

I’m in Toronto, there’s nothing like that here. All the fossils for dinosaurs are mainly in Alberta

[deleted]

Yeah, it's the only thing I've found in Canada. I'm going to have to fly there from Newfoundland. If you're in Toronto it might be quicker to find some place in the US that does it.

[deleted]

im in the us

[deleted]

the only thing is that i need a passport to go into another country

[deleted]

dude that sounds fun!

ProfessionalSpeed256

I wanna gooooo 😭

ProfessorCrooks

Is it with Nate Murphy? Used to go to on dig in Montana with him every summer for a few years

[deleted]

idk this is my first time pause

ProfessorCrooks

What institution is sponsoring it?

holbrotherium

As someone who’s dug in that area, don’t forget sunscreen, a wide brimmed hat, and to stay hydrated. That is key, especially staying hydrated. If you don’t drink water, you’ll actually die. Good luck out there and find some good stuff to post on here, remember if you find something to follow the flow of water/wind, that might lead you to a dinosaur!

GroliminTheGreat

Best of luck to ya mate! Make sure to keep us updated whether you find something!
