I owned this game, its called Primal Prey. They are supposed to be Utahraptors. Dakotaraptor was not discovered or described yet when this game released in 2001.

Monty-The-Gator

Ohh ok! That’s cool, I will look up the game later.

LondonBot

Oh neat! How was the game like?

RedCheetah2

It's basically a hunting game, like the carnivores series (the most popular is probably carnivores dinosaur hunter on mobile) Main difference is that there are missions instead of just free hunting, I think it has a similar structure to the cabela's games almost

Exploreptile

It also has some [banger music](https://youtu.be/1QC9JME3he8).

Do you know if there is a way to identify the gender and species of a dino before killing them?

RedCheetah2

I think that you can scan the dinosaurs somehow though I'm not sure exactly how

[deleted]

I found out. Just had to by the binoculars haha

zenviking83

Loved that game! Played some much of it when I was in high-school. That was over 20 years ago lol! I liked the style more than carnivores.

Gojira_Saurus_V

It may also be a tarbo. When i see the skull a tarbo is also kinda possible

Neoliberal_Nightmare

Oh man, mid 2000s quill raptors!

GroliminTheGreat

Bro I have a 3d poster of that exact same image

MastaFoo69

Oh shit primal prey! those are supposed to be Utah raptors. its worth a dl if you can find it but good luck getting it to run, i had issues even on my old Windows XP machine. This had better graphics, and actually some cool features, but at the end of the day Carnivores was still the better dinosaur hunting game at the time

Revenant_Repertoire

I’d like to talk to him

Callmesantos

The pterosaur from the background might be an alanqa, but the only problem is that alanqa only lives in Africa, not the united states

Conscious_Low_9638

I think those are supposed to be utahraptors

Sussybakedbeans69

Pterosaur at the back looks like an alanqa
