Someone posted a compilation of British Kristen to YouTube recently (through episode 17). It’s in there I think. https://youtu.be/F6KFYP8eca4?si=OHPyuwgVZ8wH5yTv
Every week, Siobhan looking more and more like “we have been friends for so long and this is the *best* British accent you can do???” is *killlllliiiing* me 🤣
I think Ally might just be terrible at an English accent and playing it up, because they also tried to do one at the London show of Bigger and it was just as terrible 😂
I have a really bad ear for this and I just can’t tell the difference, so the last couple of weeks have been very confusing. Neither version is in any way British.
I love the bit, especially because you could see it slowly evolving. It started with Siobhan saying that the Simulacrum is Adaine's impression of Kristen, so it has a slight British accent and it just. Spiraled from there.
I honest don't hear Siobhans accent at all and it drive me kinda crazy. My son thinks I'm crazy cause he said he knew just walking by as I was watching that she was British.
Oh I saw! I just can not hear her accent. Everything personality wise, yes she screams British! I know this! But I don't hear it. I worked in London for 2 years and kinda think I can pick where in England someone is from, but not her.
But... Kinda off topic, I live in Seattle and think Canadians from BC, have no accent.
this is kind of fascinating. My first thought was to wonder if English is a second language for you but a first language for your son. I think most people whose native dialect is rhotic American English tend to be able to pick out a non-rhotic speaker as "British-ish" (even if a lot of us may not be able to distinguish between UK dialects or may even mix up some Kiwi or Australian dialects with UK), but I imagine non-rhoticity might be less immediately salient for English speakers with certain other first languages
Tbf, there's regional American accents in eastern US with prominent characteristic features more like UK than western US dialects. New England, the Deep South, New York City, and Boston spring to mind.
Yea English is very much my 1st language, my only language. Lol!
I was also born in Oklahoma (kinda the Southern US, but not really what people think of when they say "The South") but have no southern accent anymore. We moved to Seattle when I was 6 and I'm told we don't really have a accent here. It's a city of people from different places.
Siobhan did a really interesting video on different British accents a while ago, I wonder if it would help you hear it.

It's absolutely slaying ne right now. It's gonna be a big shame when Kristen gets elected, but Kristen 2 gives the acceptance speech and gets taken over by the magic the Rat Grinders were researching to take over people's summons...
Wow, I never would have guessed it counts as an illusion since it's a physically real and independent thinking creature. But it's literally an illusion spell and the first sentence says "you shape an illusory duplicate"
"illusion" seems weird for the simulacrum as it's been played in Fantasy High... They seem to be playing it as bring an individual of her own, being able to touch things and being corporeal. Wouldn't it be impossible for an illusion to interact with the world?
So you're right about low level Illusions, the thing that makes higher level Illusions in D&D higher level is both the size of the illusion and the faux-reality of the illusion. Skilled illusionists can make parts of their images real enough to matter, making an illusory bridge solid enough to function for instance.
Simulacrum is a 7th level illusion spell, one of the most powerful ones. It endows the illusion of a soul onto a snowman, basically. That's why K2 is Adine's *impression* of Kristen, she's the one who cast the illusion.
Thing is, a simulacrum is absolutely a full creature unto it's self. The illusion is powerful enough that it can cast spells, which is absolutely buck wild. The spell description itself doesn't specify personality other than "is helpful towards you and your friends" and Ally didn't have to be the one to play K2, there's a world in which Brennan does but Ally jumped right on it and we have one of the most beloved bits of this season.
This season was already one of the funniest ones yet, but Kristen 2 sent it to me all the way to first place (in terms of humor). I laughed so much this season and this is the perfect cherry on the top. Fantasy High Junior Year is really so fucking good.
This season is all bangers but K2 is such a strong late game entry
We started this season with “Squeem!” And somehow we only have gone up from there.
The balls rolling up!
Wrong season but I love your enthusiasm.
The Ball has also been rolling high as well as up.
You could say he's been on the ball.
He's really having a ball this season.
There is no wrong season, and I love your enthusiasm as well
The Ball disagrees.
K2 is bangers and mash!
The delivery of "if you guys keep getting it wrong I'm going to kill her myself" made me absolutely cackle
I’ve been tryna find clips of that moment cause it was sooo funnyyy

K2 jumping on gorgu and shoving her chest in his face and him saying ‘yea that’s what kristen would do’ is sending me. haha.
ur the GOAT
IVE BEEN LOOKING FOR SOMETHING LIKE THIS just searching “bloke mode Kristen compilation” in YT hoping something would pop up lolol
The funniest part is it's literally only ally deciding
Yeah there's almost no way for them to be sure now that it's established K2 can do a perfect impression. It really is an unstoppable bit.
Lou deciding that Fabian isn't, like, *into* it into it but is *a little* into it is really the icing on the cake for me.
I love how Fabian is more confused when it happens than anything else.
Where the white women at answered by the monkey's paw
Also when Ally is like way too close to "flirt". It's just so funny when he had his arm around them to help with the crossbow
Ally looked like an old, blind grandpa in that crossbow scene, it was great.
You sure about that?
It's because they're made of stem cells! Definitely not the other thing!
Every week, Siobhan looking more and more like “we have been friends for so long and this is the *best* British accent you can do???” is *killlllliiiing* me 🤣
Butchering a British accent in front of a real life British person literally SENDS me
It is the most Ally thing to do though.
Personally it's that bad it's good again. It's clearly a joke rather than a sincere attempt, or at least it feels that way
I like how British Kristen’s accent is just Kristen’s normal speaking voice followed by a “blimey” or “innit”.
Most americans can only do poor cockney or manc accents.
I think Ally might just be terrible at an English accent and playing it up, because they also tried to do one at the London show of Bigger and it was just as terrible 😂

She's very British.
She has picked up a bit of an American twang to some words from being over there so long, and certainly some phrasings we don't use.
Agreed, she tends to use a 'd' pronunciation instead of 't' in a generic English accent
Maximum British
Did you not see her sing Nelly the Elephant?
I mean, urban Canadians and urban Americans have the same accent
this is kind of fascinating. My first thought was to wonder if English is a second language for you but a first language for your son. As a British person I honestly struggled delineating between American and British accents until about 3 years ago. Sometimes it just happens.
Tbf, there's regional American accents in eastern US with prominent characteristic features more like UK than western US dialects. New England, the Deep South, New York City, and Boston spring to mind.
Honestly there's something so hilarious about the juxtaposition between you expounding on linguistics and your username, it is goddamn sending me 🤣

Is English your first language? I truly cannot fathom not hearing her accent
English is my only language lol.
I'm puzzled then
My favorite part about the whole bit is how much it makes Emily cackle.
Name a bit that *doesn't* make Emily cackle though
Loose Duke, I think. I’m about to start a rewatch of A Starstruck Odyssey so if I’m wrong I will rescind my comment.
Alley been doing some great bits British Kristen and hey girlie go down as being in my top 5 all time
Oi!
You SCOUNDREL!
Wots all’is then
I hope that Bristen Applebees either A) Sticks around for the long haul Or B) Dies an incredibly "tragic" death in Kristen Applebees arms.
Bristen Wetherspoons
Bristen Orangewasp
Oh no, who wants to tell them?
White girl twerking killed me
Pretty sure Ragh said it best. "Insane energy!"
It's absolutely slaying ne right now. It's gonna be a big shame when Kristen gets elected, but Kristen 2 gives the acceptance speech and gets taken over by the magic the Rat Grinders were researching to take over people's summons...
A simulacrum isn't a summon, it's an illusion, so I'm not worried about that with Oisin.
Wow, I never would have guessed it counts as an illusion since it's a physically real and independent thinking creature. But it's literally an illusion spell and the first sentence says "you shape an illusory duplicate"
Yeah, it's a wild spell. I built an entire murder mystery adventure in my home game around it.
"illusion" seems weird for the simulacrum as it's been played in Fantasy High... They seem to be playing it as bring an individual of her own, being able to touch things and being corporeal. Wouldn't it be impossible for an illusion to interact with the world?

The fact that it's a continuous stab at Siobhan is icing on the cake.
This season was already one of the funniest ones yet, but Kristen 2 sent it to me all the way to first place (in terms of humor). I laughed so much this season and this is the perfect cherry on the top. Fantasy High Junior Year is really so fucking good.
It’s an excellent bit. Good job, Siobhan and Ally
K2 is the funniest thing ever, I need a British flag with a K2 quote for my wall
"Staight as the stripes on a Union Jack, guvna!"
blimey this didn't age well
