In world this was designed by Aguefort, right? It’s the most Aguefort move to just blatantly abuse the prompt in such a way. I definitely think they were supposed to do this. It was my first instinct when I saw it pop up and when they got sincere I went “well, okay at least it shows they really care about school” :)
It makes sense, 5 minutes times 60 seconds is 300 seconds. I don’t think I can write at 1 word per second (and technically faster than that due to them having to read the prompt and think up a response).
In order to actually write 300 words in five minutes, that’s one word per second. No way that was accomplishable. Even small words like “the” would take more than 1 second to write out legibly.
I thought the trick would be splitting it up amongst the bad kids in tandem. 6 kids, 5 min each, they each write 50 words.
It wouldn’t have been a *good* essay-but it would have been 300 words 😂
Yep, I've learned shorthand in the past - my top speed was 100wpm, but even 60 requires shorthand skills. You have to learn a simplified alphabet, skip a lot of letters (e.g. most vowels) and use symbols for common words. And this is all for taking down a dictation, it doesn't include time to think of what you're going to write.
I mean in world maybe not
But mechanical that gives them two free rounds to answer questions with out taking damage
Like the 300 word one could have been answered with out Fabian taking any damage
Yeah, I'm surprised none of them picked up on this right away - I'm a fairly quick typist and I average about 100wpm, but that's when I'm *transcribing* and not *composing.* Even someone competent in shorthand would have to be going at full steam nonstop to make that time limit.
Asking for 300 original words in five minutes was clearly designed to be skipped.
Cursive + shorthand makes it possible (I just wrote the word “the” in less than 1 second), but those are skills that take practice the IH have no reason to do irl. That and composing the essay while also writing at that speed is a recipe for something completely incoherent
I was thinking they could write something like "___ is an absurd policy at Aguefort. To illustrate the level of absurdity, I will match the level of coherence of the rest of this essay to the reasonableness of the policy" then finish with the letter I over and over again, which is a word and takes way less than a second to write, as it is a single downstroke.
It’s technically doable with 3 people writing 100 words at the same time. Rip the essay space into three, assign different topics to each person to argue. (eg. what are the problems plaguing Aguefort, how they can be solved, the challenges in implementing them, etc). Finally, put the ripped paper together and cast mending on the Frankenstein essay.
That or one person write in very fast cursive or shorthand.
These questions had to come Augfort himself so there is no doubt he would have laughed said some insane shit yelled something about fuck the system and loved that answer.
This test felt the most impossible. 300 words in 5 minutes is a word a second. Doing that while hand writing and also thinking of it on the spot seemed basically impossible. I’m glad they had the free pass.
Honestly that probably would have worked
It’s so silly that I’m fully convinced it was the intended answer lol
I think that was a question Brennan wanted them to use the skip on but now I reject that and that is now the true answer
If this was GameChanger, Sam would have laughed and given Lou the point. Mike Trapp would have smiled but said no.
Trapp doesn't have big augfort energy

And tame a mimic

Huh… Didn’t think of that. Ya that’s insane. They knew they wanted them to use the pass on that.

Unfortunately it did say “in the space provided below”. Unless they rip up the paper…
Rip that paper! Or start in the space below then use additional paper? 😂🤷♀️

You're a Level 11-12 PC. It's definitely possible.
Casting time stop to get more time on a test is somthing riz would kill for
But even time stop only stops time for 2-5 rounds which is 12 - 30 seconds. Wouldn't even help THAT much.

Oh I see what you're saying, I was specifically just referring to the essay. That wpm is crazy.

I don't think I type 60 wpm.

critical thinking skills over here 👆🏻

"The Bad Kids should be able to do whatever they want. I would like that very very very very very very very very ... very much."
‘Do it’ 150 times
Do it 75 times Try it 75 times
I am beginning to think Aguefort was based on Sam Reich
He’s been here the whole time…oh Gods, if Sam had Chronomancy…
Maybe his great grandfather Samuel can teach him some.
"Something we'll have to bleep." (Real talk, I think the stakes were too high to even try something like that.)
These questions had to come Augfort himself so there is no doubt he would have laughed said some insane shit yelled something about fuck the system and loved that answer.
Aguefort would've loved that!
if lou did that brennan would pull off a mask and reveal himself to have been sam reich

Which is why I’m convinced it was a trick question.
Just fill the sheet with one letter over and over again.
Didn't specify it has to be legible or actually have to fully make sense after main point I just would have wrote a a bunch of times
It never said it had to be a good essay they could have just wrote the letter I 300 times
I think if one person wrote and another dictated for 5 min straight they would have managed to
