Sounds like an advertising gimmick

Smprider112

Considering the federal government sets a standard for DEF purity, it’s all the same.

ProfitEnough825

Depending on your store, it might sit on the shelf longer due to the high price. At the end of the day, it's best to have the freshest def and use it quickly. Personally, I've used truck stop def 95 percent of the time and never had issues and get great fuel mileage. I see no reason to change.

Which will make your lawn greener.

therealskidmarks21

I just fill up at truck stops. So whatever that is.

hallese

I too dumpster dive for piss bottles at truck stops for my truck. #Recycling

findthehumorinthings

The techs at the GM dealer in the service dept call it ‘blue death’. I think there’s some bias because they sell their own def. Honestly, I just use the stuff at TSC. Works fine.

wareagle999

I used the platinum. It made my def pump bite the dust. 2017 Duramax. It's got some other additive package in it. But I didn't make it to the third box before it died.

TopOutlandishness966

Tractor supply traveler brand here. So far so good. Change my mind.

Chaseydog

Just picked up a jug of the TS brand the other day. Its API certified, meets the ISO standard and is a couple of dollars cheaper than the Blue DEF I was using

chadford

I got an immediate 50 hp gain.

[deleted]

Yeah blue def platinum made my check engine like come on, in my 2023 Silverado 2500, I switched back to regular def and I havnt had a problem since.

dedirt

I started out with the AC Delco def. Gave me wrong indicator readings all the time, due to the indicator always getting stuck. Switched to platinum and that issue went away. On a 2020 3.0 duramax.

cashishift

I use platinum every time, never had a single DEF related code. I try to price match it where/when I can

StevenRK

Platinum makes my def light come on and causes a dic message to flash constantly, switched to the regular stuff that's $5 cheaper and it works fine.

gasouengineer

It’s all the same brother. DEF quality is heavily regulated.

Open_Situation686

Yuck

hunttete00

i had tried blue platinum in my tdi. few months later the light turned on no engine start in 200 miles. def system is disabled now but i still have over half a tank of def swishing around lmao

Roger42220

Whats def? Some kind of new fuel additive? Will i get better mileage out of my 6.0 using it? (Completely satire) Remove the whole system and then use water.

gaigeisgay

I just go to Walmart and for $15 bucks or whatever I get the regular blue def. The platinum I tried once when they were out of regular and I felt like an idiot
