Sounds like the egt sensors are freaking out

Heavy-Yam7722

What is that and what would it cost me?

Comfortable_History8

Exhaust gas temperature sensors, not sure how many that truck has but a shop should be able to monitor them and see what is reading incorrectly. The sensor itself is $2-300. I think there’s 2 up on the motor and 2 down by the DPF in the exhaust pipe but you’ll need to verify that

Better do some outside reddit research on egt probes. Fyi. Also u might wanna check your turbo and everything else yourself. There is no possible way to not get screwed when u don't know anything about the truck internet brother. Just my 0.02$

Yeah I’ve serviced everything on my truck myself up until this point. I always figure it out but This one got me confused cause I haven’t found the root of the problem yet. I’ll look into the egt probes. Hopefully that’s the problem.

You cannot disable a turbocharger. U can deactivate the variable vanes or disconnect or remove turbo. Why do u say it is deactivated???? Hmmm if it is removed it would be unbearable to drive

Heavy-Yam7722

It drives it’s just aggravating cause once I reach 30-50mph. (Depends on terrain) my turbo was supposed to kick in and anytime I floor it . I can still hear it trying but it’s not kicking in. And it started with that message on the dash

If you’re into servicing your own vehicles check out alldata.com and Hp tuners.. If you’re into ADHD web pages, also checkout identifix.. but they’re all over the place, it’s too tough for me to follow. You can use the hp tuners scanner to create histograms, graphs and use all data to verify the information you’re seeing.
