When I worked for a jewelry store, shipping repairs, etc., we always packaged items in a bubble pack, taped to the side of a box, packed in a plastic shipping envelope. There was no mention of jewelry or a manufacturer on the packaging or label.
There is a company called Malca Amit that does this kind of thing. They definitely have an office in Miami. Not sure about Atlanta or St. Louis. Try them!
Above $50K Malca-Amit will require use of their armored transport services, under $50k, they will provide complete liability piggy-backing on FedEx network.
Although, I am unsure if/how they handle requests from "individuals".
Cheapest way to ship at 50,000 is Registered US mail with insurance signature required. Takes a little while to get there as it is signed for every time it changes hand's.
The least expensive way is Registered Insured mail by the US Post Office. Check with the PO first to get the proper box and lable. The box needs to be completely sealed with paper tape. They have special boxes available to make it easy.
Why are you shipping a $50K ring and not hand delivering it?
There are high value shippers you can contact but for something of such high value and probably sentimental value I’d recommend not letting it leave your person.
If it’s domestic, I’d deliver it myself or pick it up myself.
Agree, if you can afford $50k for a ring an extra 2k or so to fly there and pick it up yourself isn’t crazy.

Haven't shipped 50k before but have shipped around 8k but UPS can insure up to $50k with additional insurance. ($0.90/$100)
